Matt's double degrees in theology and Jewish Studies shone through in our day tour of Jerusalem. He quickly tuned into how we wanted the day to run but was always suggesting other places. He worked hard to ensure we got the most out of our day. We basically walked for seven hours. Whether it was the Old City, the Mount of Olives, the fabulous food market, history or current affairs - Matt was a fount of information, thoughtfully and sensitively delivered. We highly recommend him.

This was our first trip to Israel, and we were hoping for a good guide that could give us a real feeling for a place we had always wanted to visit. With Mat Churchill we got much more than we could have ever wanted. He is very knowlegable about the history and culture of Israel. Our group was made up of members and friends of our church. Mat was able to relate the places he took us to biblical places and times. Mat has a real passion for the country that he has chosen to call and make home home for himself and his family. He is able to answer any question that might come along, and is more than willing to discuss one on one anything related to the places we visited. He integrated himself into our group, becoming more of a friend, not just a guy who was showing us around. Should we visit Israel again we would ask - make that insist - for Mat to be our guide. He is one reason that makes us want to visit Israel again.

Matthew is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Hebrew University in Israel. He is extremely knowledgeable of the Holy Land, of Scripture and of the history of Israel. He is humble, answers all your questions & loves what he does! Listening to him espouse the knowledge of these sites is like drinking from a fire hydrant, but he will also stop and read from Scripture about the events that happened at the place you are visiting. His knowledge & style truly make the Bible come alive as you are touring the various locations. I highly recommend him as one the absolute best tour guides in all of Israel!

Matthew is extremely knowledgeable and is an excellent guide for english speaking groups. He knows his way around and then some as he and his family are full time residents of Jerusalem. He is patient and thoughtful with all his guests. Our group was truly blessed to have had Matthew as our personal guide for 10 days. More importantly, Matthew was able to weave archeology, Old Testament and New Testament together in a way that was life changing for me. For this I will always be grateful.

Matt provided our group with the most insightful, informative and entertaining guided tour I’ve experienced while traveling abroad. He has a deep and scholarly knowledge of history, culture and religion. He answered all of our many questions with patience and humor. He was masterful at keeping track of each of the 30 people in our tour group. I would give Matt more than five stars if I could!

We travel a great deal and we have never had the pleasure of working with and being escorted in more professional and personal manner than we did with Matt.
His knowledge of the area and culture was outstanding.
I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Matthew was a fantastic tour guide! He was patient with us and our jet lag induced bickering at times, but above all, he created a tour that excited us, 14, and 12. The history, the architecture, the religious and cultural sights were amazing and his vast knowledge made the tour that much more interesting. We saw the classics (walking the old city, the western wall, walking under the western wall (!) etc…), and sights we weren’t familiar with alike. (City of David, anyone?) We fell in love with Jerusalem because of Matthew Churchill and recommend him completely!

Matt was an AMAZING tour guide. My husband and I have traveled a lot and I can honestly say without a doubt, Matt was the best tour guide we have every had! He's super knowledgeable in history and religion of all three monotheists and does a great job of tying them together and explaining the history of Jerusalem, Israel and the whole arab region. Being born in the US he's easily relatable and has a great sense of humor. Matt's humble and quick to credit others like the bus driver, but Matt is truely the star of the show! He's happy to answer any questions and easily accommodates the mood and flow of the group. If you want to learn a bunch about the holy land and hear some uncommon facts as well take the tour with Matt, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Every step of the way Matthew was there, educating, directing, entertaining, and personalizing our tour.
As a local he understands the cultures of this complex country yet having been raised in the west, he is able to articulate that knowledge in a relateable way.
Do yourself/your group a favor and book a tour with Matthew Churchill...he always has a song in his heart and he will make your experience extra special. He is simply the best!

He has an amazing personality as well as being. extremely knowledgeable of Israel’s history. He always answered all questions Our bus driver was also very experienced in the heavy traffic in Jerusalem. He managed to squeeze through some very small areas with ease. I would highly recommend both of these men if planning to tour Israel
