On behalf of my family, I would like to warn other groups, families and individuals visiting Israel to find another guide immediately. Our time in Israel was greatly ruined by having Yossi Tal as our tour guide, and I hope that your vacation/visit to Israel is not ruined by such an incompetent, overpriced and unprofessional tour guide! Not only was his English poor throughout the trip, which made it hard to understand what he was saying- but he also intercepted and threatened our family at our private hotel lobby if we were to not pay him cash for a payment he already received. This was obvious malpractice, as he tried to rattle and coerce us to hand him cash right before our flight. The works of a con-man and I felt very unsafe for our whole family. We do not want the same terrible experience of a trip happening to you with such an unprofessional tour guide. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. You can find many other guides for Jerusalem at much better prices, with less risk of Tour Guide Yossi Tal ruining your trip. We were a group of nine, with 6 adults and 3 children.

This recession is written on behalf of my beloved dad who together with his group made this unique experience with Yossi during their visit to Israel in April 2018 (...) Remembering my trip to Israel in April/Mai 2018 together with a group from the area of Saarbrücken/Germany there are still two topics on my mind. On the one hand, the country of Israel with spectacular impressions, an interesting diverse population and a very complicated political situation. On the other hand, there is our tour guide Yossi Tal with his enormous historical knowledge which he was always willing to share with us, his descriptive and enthusiastic explanations and his apparently endless patience with all our questions. He was very inspiring during the whole trip, starting in the Negev Desert up to Lake Tiberias, to Bethlehem and finally in Jerusalem. His personality together with his interesting and thoughtful anecdotes added a significant surplus value to our stay, intensifying our impressions much more than we had expected. During our tour, he presented us many important sites connected with the Jewish, Christian, and Moslem heritage. And thus we followed him on the time travel through 3000 years of history ranging from King David to the King David Hotel along with the birth of modern Israel which is again and again troubled during the past 70 years. I also remember the vivid discussions on biblical topics between him and the pastor of our parish as very delightful and interesting. My visit to Israel will be long remembered not only because of the – for a European traveler – fascinating country of Israel, but also due to Yossi Tal’s friendly and open personality. If you ever visit Israel, having Yossi Tal as your tour guide is a gift! Prof. Thomas Wichert
