Replicas and miniatures of a Shtetl
Jan 2017 • Business
A "Shtetl" or a "state" is the Yiddish name for a "town" or a "village" in Eastern Europe pre-WWI. The Yakov family (which is where "Yankel" comes from) has turned its backyard into a museum that brings the long-gone Shtetl to life. An interesting selection of pictures, equipment, replicas and artifacts from Europe as well as some gear collected from the old Jewish settlements in Israel 100+ years ago.
Well worth visit for the whole family.

Enjoyable activities for Yidishe adults
Oct 2015 • Couples
The place itself (the building and the garden) is very nice, warm and interesting. All hand made by Yankel. He also leads the performances and singing in his big shed. The atmosphere and part of speaking is Yiddish, so you have to know this language if you want to enjoy the attraction.

An unusual place
Aug 2014 • Family
The place is unusual, even unique. The whole concept of desplaying artifacts from the past of the Jewisj shtaytel and just spending an evening out, listening to stories nd singing together is very special.
The food was nothinbg to write home about, it was just a kind of snack. The main reason to come here is to enjoy the atmosphere and concept.

Where History comes to life
May 2014 • Family
Place to experience the way Jewish people lived back in the 19 century in small towns called Shtetl. Listening to songs in the diminishing Yiddish is great. You can experience the trades, food and living. Should coordinate to join a group.
