Clean Older Small City Beach - Nice for a Stroll

Not a tourist spot - and for serious beach goers there are many nicer in Haifa and area - but it is clean, has good restaurants in the area- and in an interesting older city neighbourhood. Beach itself is frequented by locals, mostly the 70+ crowd. Nice strolling along the beach and connected walkway.

Handy to Rambam Hospital, Navy Base and Port, close to train station. Actually - least crowded and closest free parking for those places if you don't mind a healthy walk.

Great place to cool off in Haifa

Haifa can be sweltering in summer months but this nearby beach offers an attractive alternative. Bring sun screen because there is very little shade. Jellyfish sometimes invade in certain seasons but this will be announced so usually not a problem.

A beach you can actually swim in

If you want to dip your body and take a selfie, theres prettier and wider beaches. Bat Galim's small beaches offer something surprisingly unique: pool like conditions.
The beaches are calm and a good swimmer can swim even beyond the breakwaters (but the water gets colder). These beaches are packed in summer weekends (school holiday seasons) so come really early for a quiet swim with the sunrise. By 9 am, the two small swimming beaches are jam-packed.

Drive 10 more minutes to a much better breach
A local's advice - go to the students beach or Meridian beach. That's no place for tourists. If you live 5 minutes walk from there, sure it's okay but no one should drive there intentionally for the beach.

Beautiful Beach

This part of the coast/beach is a bit different than the beach just a bit south. You can walk along the lovely new walking path that stretches from here to the Carmel Beach. The waves are different and just a different feel. The houses/apartments come right up to the beach.

The owner went out of her way to accompany our needs. Drove us around in her personal car and made every request possible. Communication in English was once in a while a bit difficult. But great place to go, would book the hotel again for my next trip.

A beautiful long beach for sun seekers
May 2017
Haifa has long beaches, smooth sand and calm waters (mostly) with good facilities along most of coast. An evening stroll is also recommended as the bars and restaurants are lively and good value. Be careful of the sun as it can be masked by sea breezes.

Best to attend in Summertime, June-Septmber.
Very nice and quite beach. There's an access to a long promonade towards the south beaches. Great for families activities.

This cute hotel gave us a very welcoming home atmosphere with a personal care,
very modern and very clean with a free wi-fi, the managers are friendly and genuinely care about our family, they gave us good advices about the area, we'll definitely visit again this hotel as they made us feel very safe and very much at home.
