Find anything

I didn’t know what to expect...and thought that I would find a lot of plastic trash like in some of the markets of Europe... but no...it is a genuine romantic flea market as your imagination would expect....full of antique treasures .. well worth a visit! Especially as the rest of the city is mostly shut down due to the Shabbat... Big items and small .... lovely carpets and antiques ...enjoy a coffee afterward in a nearby Arab cafe 😊

We went on a rainy day, not many shops were open but still it was lovely and fun.
You can find great things in a good price.

Ghastly

Dirty, mostly junk, unfriendly.......not worth the taxi fare. In fact apart from the Bahai gardens which were lovely, we found the town filthy and unappealing

Hidden objets d'art if you have the patience

This area of Haifa's lower city ( Ha-ir ha- tachtit, close to the port) is not pretty although there are several interesting stone structures, incl. a church and a mosque, nearby. The flea market is chaotic and messy and browsing is not always pleasant, but exciting stuff is lurking behind the shoddy facade. If you get tired, the excellent Glida Romanian restaurant is next door at 23 Kibbutz Galuyot.
Better mititei ( kebabs) than in Romania itself and a vintage atmosphere.Closed on Sundays.

A real treat for fleemarket lovers

A traditional fleamarket with loads of knick knacks for the genre lovers. You will need a lot of patients digging through, and sun screen, as many of the displayed items are in the open. Really enjoyed it and even found a nice little vase.

Awesome fleemarket
Aug 2017
Great place to visit, lots of nice items, of course lots of trashy things too like you would always expect at the flea market, but you may also find some great items if you look carefully. I ended up leaving with a set of ink paintings and a vintage unpacked bottle of French wine from the 50s.

Great Saturday Morning Activity

This is a genuine flea market - it is NOT for tourists.

On regular days, there is a small selection of shops, most of them used furniture and housing contents from people who passed away.

On Saturdays, shoppers from all over the north come to find bargains - you will be shopping with Philipinos, Indianans, Arabs, Jews - you name it.

Vendors come with a large assortment of stuff gathered from everything from garbage cans to cleared warehouses.

If you have a good eye, you will find something nice for small money.
Haggling is a must.

However, if you are into fancy flea markets with beautiful and expensive antiques - do not waste your time.
This market is for the locals - its crowded, full of stuff and cheap.

As a flea market fanatic - I recommend it.

I have been to many flea markets around the world BUT this flea market is unique because of the diversity (Jews, Christians, Muslims and other...)
Bought beautiful things for pennies.
