About
Eilat is one of the most important spots for migratory birds in the world. The only overland bridge between Europe, Asia and Africa is also a bottle-neck that serves hundreds of millions of migratory birds. Moreover, these birds in Eilat, are preparing themselves for the most challenging task of crossing the foodless and hostile Saharan desert. We also offering guided tours by request.

I walked to the place but it was a long walk, although the weather wasn`t too hot. If you can, go there by car. The area is nicely made, I saw some nice birds but I missed the flamingos and that was my main point to visit this place. Staff was nice.

This is a small centre in the outskirts of Eilat but well worth the visit. Its importance is significant for migrating birds. Eilat is the last piece of land the birds have to rest before crossing the Red Sea into Africa. Israel is on the path of the great Rift Valley. The first thing one learns is that in 1948 David Ben Gurion ordered all of the trees to be razed during the war because enemies hid there. And ever since the Israelis have been replanting the area. We also learned that Israel is part of an International bird ringing program where they check to see where the birds come from. If you wanted to you could spend a half hour there and get a glimpse of what they are about, but if you are smart you will walk the paths and see the falcons and hawks and other birds. You will sit and watch the water as birds come and go. And you will absorb the peacefulness and beauty of the nature.

This is a very important spot for the birds migrating from Africa towards Europe. They need a place to rest after flying over the Sahara desert. The staff are very knowledgable, the signs are in both English and Hebrew and they explain many of the bird species one will see.

Nothing to see in November. Maybe in other months. Went there, no birds present. Definitely a waste of time.

The park is compact with hides by the water and another one especially for watching raptors overhead. Walk the circular path looking for birds passing through. There are shady areas, great for educational talks by the knowledgeable park staff. Limited range of wildlife related goods from the shop, also drinks and ice-creams!

average - nothing exceptional - only if you have plenty of time on your hands - insufficient thought invested in communicating key appealing information to visitors

It is a nice place situated just outside Eilat. You you get there but foot if you don't have a car. Migration season is the best time to visit. It is a place with a lot of potential that with the right attitude can be much more than it is now.

Amazing place, which you should combine with a visit to the birdwatching Centre. This park is mainly scrub, but with ponds surrouded by reed beeds and two great hides offering close-up view of waterbirds such as warblers and crakes. The nearly salina have flamingoes and do not forget to watch the sky for herds of migrating raptors at this bottleneck for migratory birds between Africa and Europe/Middle East.

I was here in december 2018 and spent a few hours. Probably december is not the ideal month for birding, but I still found a lot of interesting species of birds. The location is also a very nice to walk, a good place to spend some time, to enjoy nature.
I recomend this park, do not miss it !

I will attach some pictures with birds which you will give an idea about the species you can find there in december. I hope i identified correctly rhe species.
