About
Eilat is one of the most important spots for migratory birds in the world. The only overland bridge between Europe, Asia and Africa is also a bottle-neck that serves hundreds of millions of migratory birds. Moreover, these birds in Eilat, are preparing themselves for the most challenging task of crossing the foodless and hostile Saharan desert. We also offering guided tours by request.

Nice walk and cute birds even in January
Jan 2020
This place is definitely worth visiting if you have some free time in Eilat. Easy to reach, completely free and nicely made. Unfortunately we did not see many birds in January but there were still some in the water searching for food so we could make some great pics. I guess the peak season is in March.

I missed the flamingos
Feb 2019
I walked to the place but it was a long walk, although the weather wasn`t too hot. If you can, go there by car. The area is nicely made, I saw some nice birds but I missed the flamingos and that was my main point to visit this place. Staff was nice.

Great birdwatching haven
Dec 2019
Great birding site. Within a few minutes we saw Bluethroat, Little Green bee eater, black-winged stilt, ringed plover, heron, water rail, little grebe, flamingo.

Would like to have stayed longer

The only down side was that part of the site was closed (new ponds/bridge)being built, and we hope to come again when all the work is complete

Creat place combined with the visitor´s centre.
Apr 2019
Amazing place, which you should combine with a visit to the birdwatching Centre. This park is mainly scrub, but with ponds surrouded by reed beeds and two great hides offering close-up view of waterbirds such as warblers and crakes. The nearly salina have flamingoes and do not forget to watch the sky for herds of migrating raptors at this bottleneck for migratory birds between Africa and Europe/Middle East.

Great place to observe birds but you really have to stay quite a while.
Nov 2019
I walked to this bird watching area ,( and it took about an hour from my hotel , but I wanted to walk)
There are a number of wooden viewing sheds , and there are details off the birds
that can be seen , on posters on the walls.
I would suggest that you take binoculars and spend a few hours , and with out a doubt
you will see some really interesting birds. The time of year seems to be quite critical , as on occasions I have seen flocks of birds , and on other times very few.

Pause to watch enchanting birdlife
Oct 2019
The fascinating migration of birds up the great African rift can be caught in a glimpse in this unusual bird sanctuary along the light path as birds migrate to and from Europe funnelling through this narrow area. The local kibbutz has taken on the birds with passion, creating pathways to wander, places to view the birds in the trees, bushes and on the water. They do an amazing educational talk explaining the migration and describing the habits of all the birds. They have restored local shrubbery to provide natural landing and feeding points to the birds on their journey. Well worth a visit.

Visit to IBRCE, Eilat
Oct 2019 • Couples
This is a professionally run bird ringing centre with a knowledgeable expert at the helm and capable deputies to support. We were fortunate enough to accompany them on one of their morning rounds and were treated to a nice demonstration of capture, measurement and release, all performed very sensitively. Later that morning, we looked on as a volunteer gave a talk on bird migration to a group of young children. We were also offered the services of a top eagle expert who was visiting from Siberia to accompany us on a short trip into the Eilat mountains. All in all, a brilliant spot whether you were a novice or expert birder or simply wished to show your kids something about the world of birds.
Our very best wishes to Noam Weiss and his team.

Must see if you are bird watcher and visit Eilat.
May 2019 • Solo
The place is easy to find. It is just close to the border to Jordan. 10 minutes by car from the city center. You can visit it in the morning. There are really interesting birds to watch. Especially if you are from Europe. Purple heron, night heron, little bitter, green bee eaters, Egyptian goos. 10 minutes by car in direction to the airport you can watch flamingos by another lake. In the morning they release the birds from the ringing station. In my case there were 3 little bitterns! You can make the walk on the trail close to the station and walk by salt lake to see some other birds. Unfortunately I was in May so too late for many migrating birds.
