indeed, on road 90 at the north of the dead sea not far from Jericho and 20 minutes from Jerusalem...the perfect beach for enjoying the wonderful waters of the dead sea.... all the accommodations included/ showers /vestiaries. Sweet water pool shopping ect even real mud.
terrasse cafe with alcohol bar and snack....

The beach in itself is ok. However, I was shocked at how they treat the camel that is used to give rides. The animal has no access to shade, salt blocks or water. It is forced to lay down on its knees on rocky ground. Its hips and knees are wounded and covered with large scabs. It is also treated rudely by the employee.

I will not go back unless and I know for a fact that this situation has been addressed.

Visited this beach as the final stop on a tour and we found it to be dirty and unpleasant. There are plastic lawn chairs set up under tents and the people there were sketchy. It was super crowded, since it was a holiday, and the pools were full of people. There were much nicer beaches along the Dead Sea we could have gone to, it sure why they use this one on the tour. My kids were upset about the camel there...people were jamming Coca Cola bottles in its mouth.

No. Just no.

Filthy beachfront, littered with trash, empty bottles, dirty daipers, crusty wet, used towels - this place is repulsive. There's even trash in the water - so much that I fell over a discarded metal scrap, and cut open both feet and one hand. Y'all know the rules about open cuts in the Dead Sea - you're not even supposed to shave the day you go.

I've been to several other Dead Sea beaches in my 35 years visiting Israel, and have never experienced anything remotely as gross as this.

Neve Midbbar is not the Dead Sea experience anyone imagines. In fact, I believe this place woud be shut down if it were in the U.S.

Ok, one can float in the dead sea here, nice experiece like in Ein Gedi, but this place is full of palestinian/arab men. One took pictures of the women in bikini, other tried to steal our stuff. Luckily my wife spotted him and went balistic, so he took off like a scared little rabbit. We left right away. There was no security, police or camera nearby. Next time Ein Gedi area. Sorry don't want to be prejudice, but we had bad experience again and again...

Please avoid this dump!!! It is the worst combination of a tourist trap next to a land full of a sewer I have seen.

It is embarrassing that the Israeli government gave these people a license to have a spot of the Dead Sea and this is the best that they can do.

Two things: of you can not go to one of the upscale resorts on the Dead Sea, then skip the Dead Sea!!! The only thing close to as fowl as the beach was the shower rooms.

Secondly, if you headed to Masada - which I highly recommend - then Instead of coming here, make a choice we didn’t do and go to Ein Gedi instead which is a beautiful nature preserve that is located nearby!!!

Save yourself and your trip, don’t come to Neve Midbar Beach!!!!

We didn't want to go souther so we stoped in Neve Midbar Beach.
What you get for 85 shekel is only fresh water shower. For me it seems expensive but there is no free beach. What was positive for me is the mud. In Ein Bokek or in Ein Gedi i didn't get mud like this.

Big expectations after climbing Masada and really looked for recreation. Group of 3 families with their eyes wide open entering the "spa". Dirt allover, totally decayed, excrement on ALL bathroom (ladies) floors!!! Even the coke we bought has passed the date - How can it be possible? We stayed one hour, couldn´t stay longer BECAUSE OF THE DIRT!! This place is not worthy the one green spot it got now, but cannot score this horrible place without giving one. But our group really want all people to know - DRIVE PAST THIS PLACE and give your money to someone who cares about your money and truly care about their own business. You do not need this "experience"

We visited with a tour group and it was fine for what we needed. Would I spend all day here? No. But it was perfect for a dip in the Dead Sea and then getting cleaned up to continue our tour. You’re not really supposed to stay in that salty water more than 20 minutes anyway. It starts stinging about then, so we were ready to get out. It was hot, crowded and quite a trek down to the beach. But floating in the Dead Sea was incredible and not to be missed! Bring water shoes and old bathing suit or shorts and T-shirt to swim in. It will sting your eyes and any other cuts or scrapes. Ladies, many in our group complained that their private parts stung, so just be ready. Some in our group covered themselves in the mud, but I didn’t feel the need. Beware there is a small ledge (step up) you run into as you head away from the beach. Walk slowly and take small steps. Then on your way back out of the water, don’t forget and step off it suddenly. After your time in the water, rinse off in the fresh water shower then start your trek back up the stairs. We didn’t have towels, but you can buy/rent them at the bar for $3. They’re old but clean and dry. Just ask a bartender. The shower/dressing facilities were clean enough, but non air conditioned and after the hike back up from the beach, we were sweating so much the shower felt great. Most of us left our salty/ muddy old clothes and towels in the cart outside the changing room for donation/ re-use as trying to pack them would have been messy. Grab a drink and an ice cream at the bar and head off on your merry way.

Have come here on a few occasions, and really enjoyed it but today arrived about midday , (4 of us) for a relaxing day only to find after coming back up from the dead sea that the two pools (the highlight of the day) were closed . When I asked the manager why there was not a sign or why we weren't told before entry and paying full price ...the answer was...'we don't need a sign as all pools in israel are closed from October to March' ! Well what could I say ? I wasn't going to be dictated to - Other than all other spas and hotels on dead sea that I know of - their pools are not closed ! Not happy - ruined our day , very expensive for nothing .
