We have used several times before on visits to archeological sights and it adds so much to the visit to have their expert insight. No Frills Tours was no exception - our guide, Funda, was great - knowledgeable, engaging, and great at making sure we saw the highlights.
No Frills was flexible at setting us up on a day and at at time that suited, and in tailoring the agenda to suit us - we had our own car so didn't need a driver.
We started in the south car park of Ephesus, walked downhill through Ephesus then took a short taxi back to our car. From there Funda rode with us to the Basilica of St John, then took us through the Ephesus Museum and gave us some lunch recommendations (which we gratefully took her up on!)

No Thrills Ephesus Tours delivered exactly what we wanted (at short notice!). We didn't want a tour with a hotel collection, or lunch stops, or carpet factory visits. We just wanted a guide who could meet our group of four at the site and take us through Ephesus and give us a very informed tour.....and that's exactly what we got.
Our guide, Metin, shared a wealth of knowledge with us and answered all the questions we had.
His level of fluency in English is excellent, and our group would highly recommend him if you are after a straightforward guided tour at Ephesus.

What a day! We spent a lovely afternoon at Ephesus ancient city with our brilliant guide Yesra. She patiently explained us everything about the Ephesos remains and how ancient dwellers ran their life. She is a wonderful guide full of enthusiasm for her work and we strongly recommend her as a guide. With her detailed descriptions, embellished with real anecdotes of Ephosos ancient daily life, she helped us to imagine what really looked like the ancient city.
Thank you Yesra for being with us, it was such a pleasure to having you as a guide!

Our guide with No Frills was Ugur. He was professional, upbeat, knowledgeable, and passionate about Turkey’s history, in particular this time span when Ephesus was inhabited by Greeks and Romans. Definitely choose the add on to see the Terraced living area. This tour stands out as a must see for anyone interested in history and human culture. No Frills is a great value and we recommend it highly.

This is a long overdue review! My husband and I and our two friends booked a personalized No Frills Ephesus Tour with Yesra as our guide July 2022, and it was the highlight of a memorable 5 week vacation. Yesra greeted us warmly as if we were family on arrival. She engaged us with a wealth of information about Ephesus and the surrounding area. I would highly recommend including a tour of the Terraced Houses in your Ephesus tour - it was incredible. Yesra also answered our many questions about life in Turkey, and gave us the best local lunch experience we could have imagined! The local cuisine and the outdoor restaurant atmosphere were incredible. This was the best add-on item on our tour! All in all, we felt very well taken care of. I would highly recommend this tour company, with Yesra as your guide!

My wife and I booked a guided tour of Ephesus with "No Frills Ephesus Tour" and we were assigned the guide, Yesra. The company communicated with us via. WhatsApp ahead of time and sent us the exact meeting location, a photo of Yesra, and sent us a remind of list to make sure we had sunscreen, a hat, and water. Upon pulling into the parking lot, our guide Yesra was waiting to greet us. Yesra was an excellent guide - she gave us such a personal and thorough tour of Ephesus that I can't imagine doing this any other way. Totally worth the price! Yesra's knowledge of Ephesis was so complete and in depth that I was left speechless during most of this tour. I am a fan of audio guides and my wife and I actually rented a fairly good audio guide to tour Aspendos on our own, but I can tell you that no audio guide could come even close to the depth of details that Yesra explained. I was able to relax and enjoy Ephesus and simply be in complete awe and amazement at the complexity and vastness of Ephesus. Be sure to also buy the "combo" ticket so Yesra can guide you through the Ephesus Terrace Houses. Thank you Yesra!!

We wanted to do a tour of Ephesus mainly to keep our kids engaged and Ugur our guide was really great. No Frills were quick to reply to us, they didn’t take us via any shops and we could pay by card — no hidden surprises. I would recommend starting at 8am as it gets very busy and hot, and pay the extra to see the terraced houses.

We met our guide and driver for an excellent experience around the Ephesus. The guide was eager to answer all our questions (no matter how silly) and tailor her answers to our level of interest. A must if you want to really understand the area.

We were staying in Cesme and wanted a small, family tour of Ephesus. The tour did not disappoint. We were directed to park in the lesser known parking area which made it really easy to find our guide and to get in and out. Our guide was excellent. Our kids were as engaged as we were. I appreciated that our guide found a route away from the large tour groups too. I feel like we were able to take in all of Ephesus, ask questions and get a thorough historic overview. I highly recommend it!

My sister and I booked the half day tour of Ephesus with Yesra as our guide and we could not have been happier!! She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We loved all the insight she shared about the ruins and the history of the site. Her passion for Turkey's history was contagious and we didn't want the tour to end. I highly recommend this tour! Especially with Yesra as your guide!

Three adults would like a private 1/2 day tour of Ephesus. One of us has issues with walking any distance and/or walking on rough terrain and must walk at a slow pace. Our preference would be to see as much as we can with a minimum of walking. Is No Frills able to recommend an appropriate tour?

Hi, I would echo a lot of what is said:
The No Frills tour we took of the Temple of Artimis, Ephasus, and the Bascilia of St. John was worth every penny. Pay the extra for the terrace houses as it gives you a wonderful insight into what the living accommodations looked like at that time. We also went to "Mary's house", but much more travelling time for what little is there. My wife and I went back to the Bascilica and fortress on our own as we were staying at the Nazar Hotel (which I would recommend) and just walked there. We had a rental car and drove to Silence. Very touristy. We might have got more out of it with No Frills. We got our tours literally at the last minute. They are very accommodating so you could go there and talk to them about the options. We were there in early October 2014. Have a great trip. :-)
