Walking in fatih district trying to go to egyptian spice bazaar i came acrossthis mosque on the left and since it was friday afternoon the road was blocked by people praying for afternoon friday prayers.

Kalenderhane Mosque is unique in Istanbul because it is the only pre-1453 structure that retained its marble revetments from when it was a church.

Walking along the narrow street from Suleymaniye Mosque, I found this Byzantine style small mosque. There are not many tourists around here, but worth visiting if you are interested in the Byzantine architecure.

While walking arround the historical peninsula of Istanbul, if you can make yourself visit this little mosque, go inside. Worth to spend sometime in it.
