I am a photographer primarily interested in street photography and this was my first time in Istanbul. I connected with Enis Yücel and went for a photo-walk exploring the streets of Istanbul (both European and Asian side). Enis took me to the non-touristy places starting with a tea house. We started at 4pm and for the next 5 hours, I was overwhelmed with what Enis unfolded before me. Enis is a great photographer and guide and understands the little nuances of street photography very well. His knowledge of the city, people, history and culture was an added bonus. If you want to shoot the very soul of Istanbul, then Enis is your go to man without a second thought. I wish him the very best in life.

Walking photography tour with Enis Yücel is exceptional event for every recommendation. We started before the sunrise, photographing and getting to know Istanbul. Enis is at the same time proficient photographer and excellent connoisseur of Istanbul from the perspective a of person who lives and works in that city. He guides you trough everything, from the general history of the town and the history of different buildings to explanation of street graffiti and moving on the streets. You could not find such photographic locations and views by yourselves even if you would have for months or years live in that magnificent city. All this with very enjoyable time talking about wide variety of topics. Enis is daily living photographic topics that you are getting to know with him, he thinks about them and he wants you to get know them as well. He notices important photographic moments. Enis knows the history of photography and contemporary world known photographers, especially Magnum photographers so we had a chance to discuss with him about photography of Güler, Koudelka, Salgado etc. Very unforgettable experience for both those who want to photograph Istanbul or just to get to know Istanbul. That kind of approach, knowledge about the city and art photography, makes a difference comparing to others. Sasa and Valentina

With just two days to explore Istanbul, it was a great decision to enlist the knowledge and company of Enis to accelerate our learning. Enis was great company and a font of knowledge on photography, Turkey and more. His local knowledge and connection with all whom we met allowed us to take pictures of Istanbul and people that would not have been possible on our own. I hope we get to come back to Turkey again so we can carry on exploring with Enis.

With a seven hour stopover in Istanbul on our way back from a safari in Africa, the idea of an early morning dash into the centre of town for a photo walk with Enis seemed a great idea at the time of booking this. At 5:10 in the morning in the back of a taxi heading to our Karakoy rendezvous-vous with just 3 hours sleep on the flight I was not so sure. However, from the first words of hello and the engaged greeting, we knew this was going to fun. A good opportunity to see a little more of the city that we didn't know so well and benefit from the early morning light and comparative stillness of the city. Over three hours we spent time around the bridge and surrounding area, capturing the early morning light on the boats, the men catching fish off the bridge and then wandering through the maze of streets as the city started slowly to wake up. Along the way Enis was able to convey some of the history and the magic of the city, as wellas being happy to talk about modern Istanbul and its politics. He has and easy and engaging manner, allowing him to strike up conversations with people and then create photo opportunities for my wife and I; while also allowing us to hear from them a little about how life in the city is lived. We made our way to the Suleymaniye Mosque, seeing it both from the outside and the inside, before stopping around 8:00 for a much needed coffee at the cafe he'd used twenty years before as a student. All the time he was keeping an eye on what we were photographing and suggesting different framing or positions. Our only regrets were time - both if the taxi had been 20 minutes faster we would have got some great pre-sunrise silhouettes and if the flight back had been late afternoon, so we could have done an extra 2 or 3 hours to take a little more time and see a little bit. At that time in the morning, the ride to the centre of town took about 40 minutes on both the way in and the way out, getting us back to the airport and through passports and security at good 90 minutes before our scheduled departure. So a great guide, a tremendously photogenic city and an excellent way to spend a stopover, but also to build into any visit to this city.

Wonderfully expressed review that summarizes a short but intense photo tour with two great personality whom I also enjoyed a lot and willing to meet in the near future in a more convenient time without the stress of catching a flight or anything that stops us focusing in our craft. Thank you for the time you shared and your trust in me. Enis
