Impressive structure, located on the Hippodrome square so there is no chance to miss it. Still operating as a fountain, providing cold water to refresh yourself during your long walks across the Old Town.

This monument commemorating the second anniversary of German Emperor Wilhelm II's visit to Istanbul in 1898 located at the beginning of the Hippodrome square at the northern side. It attracts many tourists and stand besides the Blue Mosque.
If this fountain would be anywhere else it probably would not be as impressive but as it adjacent to Sultan Hammed square it makes it quite special. It blends completely with its historical environment
