About
Minaturk is just what it sounds like: a mini version of treasures found in Turkey. The park contains 105 models done in 1/25th scale, about half of them from Istanbul and the rest from Anatolia and the Ottoman territories outside of Turkey.

The area

Address
Neighborhood: Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

Brilliant place to visit to see Turkey!
Brilliant place to visit to see Turkey, scaled down! Must visit for kids. Very well built! You get to see monuments, buildings, structures from all over Turkey, part of history quite well explained and a nice place with nice views all around!

Took a taxi from our hotel Holiday Inn City in Topkapi, was about $10 one way, worked best for our family of 4 with 2 kids (10 and 12 years old). You can reach by public transport as well. Tickets were a bit pricey in my opinion, but the worse part is that you have to pay extra for all the fun things for kids to do inside the park, the interactive additions. We visited a similar park in Holland (Madurodam) and all the interactive activities there were included. In Istanbul, no. Inside the park you have to get a card that you load with money and you then use that card for kids to play with a remove boat or pedal a bike to move a ferry. Some activities simply took the money and didn’t perform. My kids wanted to hear some anthem of famous soccer teams and the machine deducted the money from the card but didn’t play anything. We tired twice and lost money both times. Another activity, the talking tree, was in Turkish. Again, you pay money and have no idea what’s going on. Unless you speak Turkish of course. Another activity was closed (laser games). You have to pay extra to take a trolley around the park as well. I wouldn’t recommend the place for a visit unless you live in Turkey and/or a Turkish citizen. My kids had no idea nor, honestly, did they care about Turkish historical buildings. It’s interesting for an adult to read about, yes, but then as as adult you’d better visit these locations in person (at least in Istanbul). Clean grounds though, the park is well kept.

    Perfect
It is a very beautiful place where you can find historical and natural beauties together in our country. When purchasing your ticket, specify that you would like to visit the lively Istanbul historical peninsula model exhibition. That episode was great too. We paid 210 ₺ ticket fee for 1 student and 2 teachers.

    It's a small, small world...
It was a perfect summer day for this outdoor experience. You wander around all the miniature replicas of Turkey's well known buildings and attractions. There is a mini train for kids, as well as play area and labyrinth. Do pop in at the indoor exhibition of 3D cut replicas of the buildings as well - and a replica of the studio which shows how it was planned and made

Surprisingly interesting - not just a gimmicky place
Warning: It may make you hooked on Turkey. We went here mostly as a joke, but were surprised at how large and interesting it was. There are many models and they are all well-made and the cats and birds inhabiting the place add a lot of fun atmosphere to it. I can see why it may not be the best place during the summer. We went at the end of November and it was a tad chilly, but there is nothing to shade you from the sun, so if the weather is sunny and without clouds, maybe go another day. You should also reserve several hours for it. Getting there with public transportation was a bit of a hassle and if you relax and take your time, you could probably spend more than an hour, or close to two, if you really dwell on everything there. The only major problem with this place is that it shows you how many sights Turkey has to offer in all corners of the country that it makes you wish to travel the whole country.

I absolutely loved this place, it’s not something that’s wildly advertised as a place to visit when in Istanbul but it’s well worth the visit.

You can take a public bus from taksim
To get here but there are several bus stops in taksim it can be hard to find. The bus will drop you outside miniturk just a few minutes walk away.

Very fun activity with or without kids, me and my partner went and we spent about 3 hours in here as we had lunch in the cafeteria which has fantastic prices unlike many tourist attractions who hike up food prices.

There is the main cafe then a ice cream shop and a juicing shop so you can always find what you need. They also have the costume dress up shop, a helicopter stimulator for extra cost of course. A few little games along the way you can pay a few TL for.

It’s really nice to be able to see all the attractions across Turkey in mini versions and it’s a place I highly recommend.

I was impressed by this place! We’ve spent there around 4 hours
You can combine enjoying nice area and learning some history with this place.
We paid 450 liras for each person as we are foreign visitors. It includes not only outdoor pass but also the museum

I can recommend this place!
Just be sure that the weather is fine :)

Reduced miniature versions of historical artifacts in Turkey are exhibited. A place suitable for children and families. One of the must-visit places. Sütlüce is famous for its sleepiness, I recommend you to visit the restaurants across the park :)

Maybe our family is not like everyone else, but the children (12 and 5 years old) were not at all interested in looking at the exhibits. We are not such experts in the history and architecture of another country to understand and appreciate the value of this or that building. You can't touch anything.
The price for foreign tourists is 4 times higher than for residents of the country. Instead of 80 liras, 350.
There is a children's playground on site. Floor chess. The labyrinth is small and paid for. The train running around the territory is paid for. The area is small, so why ride there?

Absolutely loved this place! Wife and I paid 20 liras each for a ticket and spent about an hour.

It soooo cool, you could really see the details of all the models built here. All these miniature models are key monuments around Turkey, and it really gives a lot of information of when and why they were built. I was shocked at the beauty of some of these models, really stunning.

For me this place should be in the top 10 things to do in Istanbul, if you get time do visit this place guys! I think in total there was in excess of 80 miniature models.

What a great way to spend a few hours. Cost to get in was 15tl. Miniaturk is a large park of miniature historic and non historic attractions over Turkey. All exhibits have a plaque in front of them explaining what the exhibit is along with a map of Turkey showing the city where the original is located. There is a children’s park with activities for them. They have an excellent website with lots of information as well you can download an app on iTunes or google. Excellently done. We are staying at the Ramada Golden Horn about a 20min walk.

Incredible miniatures of the buildings from all over Turkey.
Not to be overlooked as a child's display, this is a must see for all ages.

The models are extremely detailed and the layout of the area is fantastic.

You can easily spend several hours here. It also offers great views of the local area.

Excellent. So interesting and very well done. We got the combo ticket to see the indoor exhibition which was fascinating. Our 4 year old was really engaged. Unfortunately it was raining but the play area looked really good. Highly recommend for all ages.

We absolutely enjoyed this site. We took a taxi here. We first paid extra for the upside down house. We paid separately to see the models. They have a little play area for the children. Its a Trojan horse as a slide. They have a starting point. You follow it along, see multiple mosques, main buildings around Istanbul and Ankara. Some of the historical sites reconstructed. Temple of Artemis, Ephesus, Damascus gate, Hitite Myndos gate. The detail is amazing to see. Its all outdoors along the river. They have food and drinks onsite. We enjoyed our visit.
