The owner of the store is very knowledgeable in carpet or textile. He is kind & friendly, & no high pressure sales tactics or gimmicks. He took time to explain what each items are & how they are manufactured. Communication was no problems as he is able to converse in various languages. Overall, a very pleasant shopping experience.…

I and my husband were looking for a Turkish carpet for our little house. Went to Grand Bazaar the other day but found the shops are quite pushy and playing with the prices. One guy were asking 900 GBP for a carpet we liked not in lira. We decided to try Astra Bazaar instead as some people as they had better experience in Astra Bazaar buying carpets. I found a carpet pretty on the window of Galeri 44 then went inside and met Habip. Habip was not pushy at all and seem to be very genuine explaing about carpet types, history etc. As we wanted a particular color Habib brought us to a bigger second shop of his nearby. We found two carpets we liked and got offered for some discount. Each had a decent price. Habip seem to be honest and not manipulating at all. Had some more conversation about Learning Korean as he liked watching Korean soap dramas and learning Korean. I'd recommend this shop to any confused tourists looking for a Turkish carpet.…

Habip is an honest and kind man who will take the time to show you everything and explain the process and history behind all the carpets/ cusion covers/ textiles and fabrics! He has the best price for the quality and I got some of the best stuff from him store! I have been visiting this shop on my visits to Istanbul and cant believe that someone called it pushy and rude! Habib would have to be one of the gentlest men in the Bazaar - I think they have the wrong shop! I have bought some wonderful cushion covers and excellent old throws that I am very happy with. He always gives the best price and is very polite and softly spoken. I cant ever imagine him being rude to anyone!…

I bought some shawls here on my first day in Istanbul and came back on my last day as the prices here were amazing and much better than in the Grand Baazar. I know that everyone in Istanbul tries to sell you carpets, but this place had some lovely ones and if I was looking for a carpet, I would certainly check this place out. The staff was very helpful and not pushy! Which is something you very much appreciate.…
