We took a 14 day tour including Istanbul, Goreme, Antalya, Pamukkale, Kusadasi, and Canakkale. We chose Guided Istanbul Tours because they were willing to take us anywhere we wanted to go in Turkey including off the beaten path sites like Hattusa and Aphrodisias. We had an amazing trip. We had one guide (Tayfun) throughout the 14 day tour and two drivers, one in Istanbul and another for the remainder of the tour. We provided a long list of sites we wanted to go to and Tayfun took us to all of them and more. Tayfun also managed to add some spectacular sites we didn't think we would have time to see (like Laodicea) and some we had never read about (like the Troy Museum). Tayfun was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. He also took us to some great lunch spots every day to try different local foods. We were even taken to a local hospital to get COVID tests we required for reentry into our home country. Tayfun went above and beyond anything we would have expected when he went back to this hospital at 2 am to ensure that we got the results before we left. Even with no sleep, he still managed to give us a full day of touring the next day. I wouldn't want to use any other tour company or guide for a trip to Turkey.

We spent lovely two days with Oscar and enjoyed every moment. We started with the old city and visited the sights that we have seen before from outside. Oscar gave us a detailed explanation so we did not want to skip any of the monuments and we are very glad to do so. The second day we sailed through the Bosphorus which you should not miss, especially on a sunny day. Then visited the New Palace, the shopping area called Istiklal Street and climbed up to Galata Tower where you may have a 360-degree view of the city and shoot the nicest photos. Oscar was very friendly and accomodating, he tried to answer all of our questions. You may ask for Oscar without hesitation if you plan to experience Istanbul with a private guide. It was a pity that the nights were short because of the pandemic, he even gave us suggestions for nights for our future visits.

Enjoyed a very full day exploring Istanbul’s historical sites with my private guide, Ulku, whose knowledge of the history of this area really helped me to better appreciate the importance of each monument.

Ulku arrived early and was very well prepared, having made ticket reservations in advance so that we could skip the lines at most venues. Be aware that your guides are not offered preference at Hagia Sophia Mosque, but the wait is well worth it. Ulku waited patiently in line with me and her warm company made our wait pass quickly.

Ulku recommended that we have lunch at a lovely upstairs restaurant of the Hammam near Hagia Sophia, which I enjoyed very much. Although I’m a foodie and had some ideas of places where we could eat, I would never have found this hidden gem without her!

Overall it was a great day, and although I was tired by the time we were finished, I was very happy with my decision to take a private tour, and would do it again in a heartbeat.

We booked a second private tour with this company to visit the Princes’ islands (the first one was a 2-days private Istanbul tour). We requested Emre again and we went to visit the islands! What a wonderful experience. First, we visited Halki island (Heybeliada). Since I wanted to visit the Greek Orthodox Priest School (Ιερά θεολογική Σχολή Χάλκης), Emre was able to have them open the door for us to tour (The school doesn’t work). What an amazingly beautiful place! We visited the school and the Church inside the premises). This is a MUST SEE when in Istanbul. After that, we went to the big island of all named Prigipos (Büyükada). There Emre arranged to visit the Greek Orphanage School of the 19th century and the monastery of St. Nicolas. We also had a great lunch there and tour all the little side streets. Beautiful houses, amazing view, friendly people. Since it was a private tour, Emre did his absolute best for us to visit what we wanted. He is an exceptional tour guide and the tour to these islands was fantastic!!

Hulya was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, professional, efficient, friendly, and thoughtful. We saw all of our intended sites with the least of effort, often cutting to the front of the lines. When in one instance there was a wait, she told my husband & me to explore while she held our spot. When an over eager carpet salesman tried to reel us in, she dismissed him with a wave and he slinked away. We did not know that these tour guides take a 4 year instructional curriculum like a University degree and travel the entire country to be knowledgeable of what they speak. We learned something at every turn and the tour was well worth the fee. We hig0hly recommend Hulya and Guided Instanbul Tours

Before I begin, I am an avid traveler and very selective with who I review online. I have done dozen of tours both private and group…and this was probably the best tour I’ve ever experienced.

Hakan met my parents and I at the cruise port for a private tour of the city. He was extremely easy to meet with and immediately set up a plan with us. The tour included 7 or so standard places but he wanted to make sure that we were okay with the agenda and the amount of walking.

At each stop, Hakan explained in detail the history and significance of each place. He made it super interactive, fun, and FUNNY. We asked him a ton of questions and he answered allll of them. (Btw, his English is amazing and his knowledge of word/language history is incredible. He is also fluent in Spanish and German) His background of early Roman history added to the depth of information that gave us.

In the afternoon, we had some time to spare so he asked us what we would prefer to see. The tiles in Turkey were impressive to us (ie: in the Blue Mosque although it was closed when we went in March and others) so he took us to the most authentic Iznik tile place that is one of a kind. He also took us to a mosque with the intricate tile work that you want to see in the Blue Mosque.

Hakan also helped tell us where and helped us take the best photos we have had on this trip. He will make your Instagram amazing.

My parents loved Hakan so much that they invited him to our home in Southern California and I think you will too after you meet him.

I went with a friend and I had the best time in Turkey! This company took care of all of it, answered all my questions in time and I could not emphasize how highly I recommend them. I knew what I was looking for and they put a package together for my and my friend where they took care of all guided tours and transportation and even when our flights were cancelled last minute they were attentive to get us transportation to another airport and on a different flight. I am so thankful to them for the great experience I had on my first time in Turkey.

We had a very quick 'highlights of Istanbul's visit in Oct. 2022. Melissa of GIT set everything up for us, including airport transfers, for our family group of 12 - 6 kids and 6 adults. She found the best guide, Emreh, who our 6 yr old grandson loved. He went out of his way to accommodate us: tailored each stop to the needs of our group, found us great food and a fun ice cream man, let our youngest hold his 'unbrella' and he knew where clean toilets were! It was the best whirlwind tour! Thanks to Melissa (who answered my frequent inquiries day or night) and Emreh, we loved Istanbul and would like to return again soon! We highly recommend GIT!

Hokan was great and so knowledgeable! He catered the tour to our interests and needs with a 6-year-old boy on the tour as well. He did not know this but my husband and I love underground tours and he took us to 2 Roman cisterns - they were SO COOL and INTERESTING!!! I honestly could have spent the day just touring the cisterns of Istanbul. We also went to the usual tourist spots and Hakan explained such interesting details about the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Hakan is very friendly, personable and a wonderful tour guide!

On a warm June evening in 2023, Istanbul, a city that connects two continents and is rich in history and culture, once again became the epicenter of European football. The Atatürk Olympic Stadium, famous for its electric atmosphere and passionate fans, hosted the Champions League final, an event that promised spectacle, drama and football of the highest quality. The match delivered on its promises, delivering a night that will be etched in the memories of soccer fans around the world for generations.

After a grueling path through the group stages and knockout rounds, the two finalists faced off in a battle of tactics and intelligence as much as skill and determination. From the first whistle, it was clear that both teams were willing to give it their all, knowing that a win would immortalize them in football history.

I had no doubts going into the match, I was confident, I left it to the last minute to buy tickets, but I got through it with the right steps. As an Inter supporter, even if we lost in the Final, watching Inter live on the pitch was worth it. After a beautiful city tour like the Istanbul tour, watching this match on the spot was like honey and cream.
