A short path - but a great one! One of the must-try attractions in Istanbul, especially at night. Great view

This is a park can be gone with family, children, babies, or friends. It is a good area to walk with dogs. I love to lie down in the grass here. There are 3 nice playgrounds for children and babies.

One of the ideal places in the middle of the Istanbul to run away from the pressure that comes with living in a metropolitan city. Perfect for picnics, walks, runs and great for the families with kids.

Maçka Parki is located along the downhill from Nisantas to Dolmabahçe. You can enter this parc while walking this road. It is one of the calm, uncrowded rare green spots in the city. You can walk, breathe, rest in this park. It is dangerous at nights though. Nice place to visit

We visted Macka park in July. Despite the intense summer sun and heat it was cool because there is a large outdoor concert area in the middle and Scorpions were playing that night and doing soundchecks in the afternoon, so the whole hillside valley area of the park rawked out. We rode the telerifik aerial tram over to Nisanstasi. It... More

We had a very relaxing walk in this nice park. There are a few playgrounds where children can play and have a great time. There is also a 'cable-cabin' in this park. In the middle of the park there is also a nice pub/restaurant. I saw security at all the entrances so I felt really safe. Enjoy your walk !!!

This is a great park filled with trees, an interesting fountain and really shiny new playground equipment that looks like a lot of fun! I would walk downhill from here, but not uphill, it's a bit of a grade.

Staying in Sisli

Neighborhood Profile
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
