The Forum Tauri,The Market of the Bull, was created by the Constantine the Great.İt was situated along with the main road in new Beyazıt area.
Today, just some of the ruins are available to see in different parts of the Beyazıt Area.Sad to see them under such conditions as they could be in much better position in their places. You can see them while touring in and around Beyazıt area.

The Forum of Theodosius is situated on Ordu Caddesi (Caddesi means Street) in Constantinople. While walking on street we saw some marble pieces well lit under light. The marble pieces that are located here are from Forum. It was originally built by Constantine I and named the Forum Tauri ("Forum of the Bull"). In 393, however, it was renamed after Emperor Theodosius I, who rebuilt it after the model of Trajan's Forum in Rome. There is nothing much, just a casual walk but we had some beautiful photos in lights here.

When you walk from Kapalı Çarşı to Beyazit you happen to see the Forum of Theodosius, or better: what is left of it. The remnants of a triumphal arch lie in the middle of Ordu Caddesi, where heavy traffic is constantly flowing by. Some of the columns reminded me of columns in Yerebatan Cistern. Unfortunately I could not find out if they belonged together, and how exactly.

Unfortunately today nothing left from the famous "Forum Tauri", only few pieces of columns in a very busy sidewalk on the street. But the worst side of it is that there is so much rubbish around this thousands of years old monument and shop keepers around use it as a place to sit and trow thngs around. Nobody cares about its history, it's a pitty.

Little remains of the Forum of Theodosius today. What remains is just a few stones and a small stone structure in Beyazit Square.
It was originally called Forum Tauri (Forum of the bull) but was renamed after Emperor Theodosius.

In the middle of the city, such an ignored beauty. Wish there was more attention to these artifacts. Can't tolerate people setting a fire among them, sitting on top of them. :(
