This is an original meyhane or "drink house" with limited number of seats, limited menu, but great ambiance of olden and golden days. The name translates as the "drink house with mice." The food of this intimate quisi-basement restaurant is not the best in Istanbul, but it is quite good; the live music is perfumed by a violin or ud player who is also not the best, but quite entertaining. The place has a unique feeling of melancholy, which I am afraid will be spoiled if this becomes a real popular place.
