Hired Istanbul Daily City Tours for a private car from Istanbul to Iznik and back, about two hours from Istanbul. Very few other tour companies offer tours there, and we wanted to sort of go our own way when we arrived. The whole experience was reasonably priced for 8 hours, very relaxing, safe (no other travelers and lots of hand sanitizer), and comfortable (we took a large Mercedes Benz coach). The driver was very nice, prompt, on top of it, and didn’t intrude. And Iznik is really lovely. No tourists, in the middle of olive groves, on a beautiful lake, with lovely Roman walls and a Roman basilica that was used for the Council of Nicaea in 330. I’d recommend this for people who want a quieter, more private, more independent, more comfortable experience without the negatives associated with tours (tourist traps, stops at places where they want you to buy things, other travelers).
