If you like shopping in a bazaar like setting, this is for you. Good cafes and bars. Near the waterfront. Great views and so many people to watch. Can see Europe and Asia at same time.

New artistic and art oriented suburb by the Bosporus straits next after Besiktas. Dissent and comparatively clean (for Turkish standards even crystal clean - even can eat from street kiosks) . Visited mainly by young people. Nice vibes and more European setup.

Newly developed tourism area where young artists exhibit their handwork products, accessories and textile. A place to discover un-common art. There are many cafes and restaurants around. A very beautiful view o fthe Bosphur

Very nice area where old meets new. There are stands with street food and shops selling souvenirs. Many local students walk around. There are Bosphorus tours departing from here.

You can navigate in Istanbul and Mobility throughout Turkey with Google map app..its amazing app and very easy...have locations ,navigation , work time ( opening , closing shops and sites )...and have a lot of pictures for... More

Since ORtakoy is connected to Besiktas, it would be a good idea to ask the Besiktas Municipality, their contact can be found here: besiktas.bel.tr/Sayfa/13182/iletisim

you can go to kabatas station via taksim funicular.(F1) or you can use tramway (T1) in front of sultanahmet to go to kabatas. in kabatas station there is a bus station that go to ortakoy every 5 min.
