Very interesting and very beautiful. Definitely a must see in Istanbul. The mosque complex includes a mausoleum marking the spot where Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, the standard-bearer and friend of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, is said to have been buried.

Not sure what you mean my parade ceremony? There is a Jummah khutbah beforehand if that's what you mean? And Jummah prayers as normal.

We took the tram from Sultan Ahmet to Eminonu and then caught the number 99 bus to Eyup which took approx 30mins. The bus stop is a two min walk from the mosque. We used our Istanbul card for the tram and bus, it is pretty... More
