We had a wonderful trip in Istanbul, because our tour guide, Mr Ozden. He is a professional, friendly, and helpful man, also guide us to valuable shop to buy Lokum (Turkish Delight)...

Our guide, Metin, was fantastic. His knowledge was exceptional and with a great personality and sense of humour, my wife and I had a great 8+ hours. I highly recommend the company but specifically Metin if he is available.

We spent a month on a private tour of Turkey which we could not fault. Two wonderful weeks in Istanbul including a long day trip to the Gobekli Tepe site with an excellent guide Yavus. If you are considering a trip to Turkey these are the guy's.

Our guide Yavuz was brilliant and added so much to our experience of the major sites. I was in awe of his depth of knowledge and really enjoyed the tone and pace of his stories. It was our first day in the city and he really helped us understand Istanbul's hugely long and complex history. I know he was worried... More

We had a day tour with Turkland Tours that was unforgettable! Despite, the cold, rain, sleet and occasional snow flurry, we were able to see the areas of old Istanbul's Christian quarter that we longed to see. Without the help of our guide and driver this would have been impossible to do in one day. The Galata tower and Chora... More

A fantastic day tour of the Old Town of Istanbul. Our tour guide Ugur was extremely knowledgable, personable and timed each venue perfectly, with plenty of time for private viewing & photographs.

We had a wonderful day on our Turkland Travel Culinary Tour. Not quite sure what to do on our last day in Istanbul, our independent guide Ugur suggested Turkland Travel's Culinary Tour. We are adventurous eaters but had read mixed reviews of culinary tours in many places. Nonetheless, we decided to give it a go. So glad that we did!... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
