We have just had the most amazing 19 days touring Western Turkey with the help of Eda at Istanbulite Tour Agency .
From my first email Eda was prompt in answering all my questions, of which there were many.
My first request was for 2 days in Cappadocia and 4 days in Istanbul to see the sights, do food tour and see a neighborhood or two
Eda put together a great plan within budget and covered all I wished for and then the cruise we had plannedt to take before our Turkey visit was canceled after our initial plans were made. Suddenly and unexpectedly we have 10 more days to spend in this amazing country.
No Worries, Eda came up with a terrific plan to see more of Turkey
We started with a few days at Sumahan Hotel on the Bosphorus on the Asian side to experience another side of Istanbul.
We met Eda our first morning in Turkey at the hotel for a day of walking the neiborhoods close by with a fast taxi ride to see the markets in Karikoy back to the hotel for a rest before dinner at Ismet Baba. This may have been the best meal we had in Turkey – it was wonderful fresh fish and mezes of course.
We flew from the SAW airport to Izmir to start our country tour of Alacati an old Greek village, on the Cesme Peninsula , known for its beaches, stone houses and wine making. We had a few free days then a fabulous wine tasting tour through the Urla Valley. Asked Eda to book dinner at Asma Yapragl under the stars, for a fabulous dining experience. Then off to Aphrodisiacs to see some of the most spectacular ruins lead by a very knowledgeable and personable team member Ayshagul. (We toured Ephesus on a previous trip )
Our trip to Cappadocia was magical with, Cansu our tour guide, another great team member and our stay at the Eye of Cappadocia Hotel was perfect to see the Hot Air Balloons at daybreak.
Back to Istanbul to our hotel Armada in the old city with views of Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque which needless to say we would tour over the next few days .
All drivers and van were first class all transfer were on time on all tours.
It was a marvelous tour enhanced by Eda’s great knowledge of the history and culture of the country and what to see in Istanbul aside from the historical sites.
Thanks Eda you are like an old friend now !!!!!

We heard about Istanbulite through a friend who had recently visited Istanbul. Eda came very highly recommended, so we began to curate our own day trip with her in Istanbul via email.
Istanbulite offers so many options sure to fit anyone's style of traveling. We started in Galata at our hotel. Eda met us there and then we walked down the cobblestone streets close to the water where we grabbed a taxi over to the Sultanahmet area of the city to see the Hagia Sophia and many other sites. It was absolutely amazing to see the sites. It was made even better by Eda's extensive knowledge of the history and culture of Istanbul.
I would say wear comfortable walking shoes, as Istanbul is quite hilly. If you're one of those travelers who likes to stop and have a glass of wine periodically during a tour or has special dietary requests, please make that clear at least 24-48 hours in advance if possible. It will help set the pace and route of the day.
Eda went above and beyond, catering to our needs and showing us things we would have never experienced while teaching us about the rich history and culture of Istanbul. Absolutely Amazing Time! I will be returning and bringing other friends and family to experience Istanbul.
Thank you!

Eda was the best! From first communication to text messages on our last day, she organised us an amazing trip. We emailed back and forth many times, she was always very prompt and came up with some great ideas as well as accommodating what we said we’d like. She also organised a driver so that we could get around easily.
We went to a Turkish belly dancing place, hammam, cooking lesson, sunset yacht cruise, amazing dinners and bars.
Eda was also great at accommodating our changes of plans, we thought we wanted a food tour but last minute decided on a shopping guide. She really helped in liaising with the shop owners and taking us to places off the beaten track.
Couldn’t recommend Eda and Istanbulite enough, thank you Eda x

Our trip to Istanbul was so special. ✨
Eda (a passionate local guide recommended by a friend) showed us around for a full day, ensuring we saw all the key tourist attractions/monuments and some of her favorite spots!
The pace of the tour was our own, she was very patient, informed and warm. Eda also provided us with great tips re: restaurants, bars, shopping and other sites in both Istanbul AND Bodrum (where we went next!)
Her company is very professional, ahead of officially booking Eda was very responsive and helpful; providing an outline of recommended tours based on our availability and desires. Then when we met, she gave us fridge magnets to remember our trip and a fabric tote bag each (to carry all our shopping!).
We would highly recommend Eda as a private guide to anyone who is visiting Istanbul. Our experience was something we hold dear and we will never forget.
Thank you Eda!!! 🙌🏼

We booked an Istanbul sightseeing tour with Eda. Over 2 and 1/2 days she took our group (with 3 children) to see the Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet Mosque, Hippodrome, Underground Cistern, Galata Tower, Grand Bazaar, Rustempasa Mosque and Topkapi Palace.
Eda was a fabulous guide. She's knowledgeable, patient, fun and very flexible. We made umpteen stops to snack and she was perfectly fine with the delays. She took us to two really good restaurants for lunch and made sure they had vegetarian options. We drew up the itinerary according to our needs and she took care of everything.
If you are travelling with kids and need a guide to show you around (which I think is a must as there are no audio guides at the mosques), Eda is a great choice.
We travelled to Alacati and Pamukkale (on our own) last week and she went out of her way to help us find a really good hotel in Pamukkale.

Eda was fantastic, we had such a great tour and day with her. First off, she was super communicative, and took time to understand what my wife was looking for in a shopping tour by chatting with us over phone and email. Our day out was very casual and relaxed - it felt like we were walking around the city with a friend - but Eda managed to take us to so many amazing places we never would have found on our own. Another bonus was meeting shop owners who were friends of Eda’s, where we learned a bit about the culture and history of the country.
Eda’s professionalism, easy-going attitude, knowledge of the city, and a good feel for her clients made her a notch notch guide in our book. We highly recommend Istanbulite. Thank you again!

Amazing service in advance of trip to plan options for Itinerary. We only had 2 days to see the sites of this magical city and also wanted to have an evening to remember. Packed in a lot in the time. Stand outs were Topkapi palace, Cistern and a provate motor yacht for a 2h sunset trip up river. Photos of sunset over the city were uniquely beautiful way to end the day. Both guides (Burcu and Nilgu) were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. It was also great to get a woman's perspective on history and culture during the day's conversation.
Lunch stops were also an opportunity to eat the specialties of the city and tailored to what we fancied at the time (snacks rather than a full meal). Advice to others is to use the tram option-cheaper and quicker than a car and to take plenty of water for the palace which is a long and fairly busy few hours. And don't miss the cistern-its magical. We didn't see the Blue Mosque as queue alone was off-putting so maybe one for next time. Shopping in Grand Mosque was much helped by local knowledge of what to seek out and where to find trusted traders, often tucked away and harder to spot.
Thanks to Eda, Selina and the team for a unique and personal experience for a cruise stop in Istanbul. party of 4 friends not 50 on a bus is a much better way to see this ancient and beautiful place

Just wow! Can't say enough good things about Eda, Selena, and our guide Nilgun on our recent trip to Istanbul! The planning detail was very tailored to meet our interests and needs, and everything went smoothly and on time with absolutely zero problems. This was our first time doing a personalized tour and I can't imagine not doing it this way going forward thanks to the experience with Eda and Istanbulite. Very responsive, reasonable price, first class accomodations and transportation - their hard work and attention to detail made this a trip to remember. Thanks to the whole team for a GREAT experience!!!!

This was one of the better walking tours we’ve done across Europe. Eda, the owner of Istanbulite was gracious and accommodating. Nellie, our guide, is a born and bred Istambulian who gave all the necessary information for the main sites as well as some fascinating stories about the city and its deep history. 10/10, would do it again!

I contacted a range of travel agents to organise a business meeting and corporate trip to Istanbul. Eda was the standout respondent by far and immediately understood our requirements.
She booked the hotel, meeting rooms, transfers, lunchs and Turkish baths for us... as well as selecting five restaurants of consistently outstanding quality. She also accompanied the group on a boat trip and hosted a walking tour.
Knowledgable, friendly and professional, her communications were fast and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and her taste is excellent.

Dear Mr Manama,
First of all, thank you for contacting us.
We do have availability for April 26 and 27. Please note that we only do private tours, no big bus tours.
I would recommend you our 'Traces of Istanbul' tour for the 26th and 'Shopping in Istanbul' tour for the 27th.
Our rate for a tour of 4 people is 400 EUR + VAT per day. The rate includes private guidance in English by professional tour guide, pick up and drop off from hotel with Mercedes Vito with A/C and professional driver. Please note that museum entrance fees and lunch are excluded.
10.30- 11.00 am is a good starting time for both tours.
Look forward to hearing from you & hopefully hosting you soon.
Best,
Eda
