We hired Sinan for two days in Istanbul. He was fabulous with lots of knowledge to share and the ability to modify our tour on the go to meet our desires. Actually were in Istanbul when the airport attack occurred and still felt safe and well guided with Sinan. I would highly recommend him.

My adult daughter and I, along with a friend or two, had Emine as our tour guide for two days. Planning what we wanted to see with her before we left the states was wonderful and with a car and driver, managed to see the big highlights of Istanbul, as well as go to the Asia side. We saw Topkapi... More

It is my first time in Turkey, and I am visiting Istanbul with my mother and sister. My family and I had been to few places in our own but certainly you cannot explore the true beauty of this beautiful city without having a professional tour guide like Sinan Erol. The trip was well organised and we were picked up... More

We did a full day tour of Istanbul's old town visiting Hagia Sophia, Sultan Ahmed (Blue) Mosque, Topkapai Palace etc. Our tour was led by Sinan Erol, who did an excellent job. He was at once competent, knowledgeable and funny (with a dry sense of humor). The tour was definitely worth the time and money. While we did look at... More

With only 3 days to see Istanbul and travelling alone using a Tour Guide was recommended. So glad I did. The first day I went with a group and it was good but by chance I was the only person booked the next day on a walking tour. My guide was Sinan EROL and he was a perfect guide in... More

We were fortunate to have Sinan Erol as our tourguide. Myself and my wife were really impressed with his professionalism, his understanding of the sites and answered all our questions with ease. He is a great person with some humour as well. I also loved the fact that he loves animals like we do and we were impressed that all... More

We just returned from a weeklong visit to Istanbul. Granted, the weather was not the best (including a HUGE snowstorm on New Year's Eve which messed up flight schedules, traffic, etc). However, on the bright side, there were no crowds and we could enjoy the sights at our leisure with ample time. The true highlight, however, was the service of... More

I dealt with Sinan Erol, who is top notch. My work schedule unexpectedly cleared up during the summer and we found a cheap airfare to Turkey, 8 days before we landed there! We had only 7 days total in Turkey and wanted to see the Bodrum Peninsula, Pamuukale, Cappadocia in the first 3 days and then spend the last 4... More

We had a private tour with Sinan. Since the government had decided to change to winter time 2 weeks later than scheduled, Sinan had to wait on us for an hour. we were so sorry but he had no problem with our mistake. Sinan did his best to include all our wishes and we even stopped at some street food... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
