The Istanbul Guided Private Group Tour was the best ever! They took such great care of us in a wonderful and big Mercdes Benz Coaster and a gorgeous private Yacht for our Bosphorous Cruise! They kept the schedule despite the crazy traffic in the City. We would definitely recommend them for an informative tour of Istanbul! A must for first... More

My wife and I visited Istanbul for five days in late January, and we booked three one-day tours, with Furkan as our guide. We loved every minute! Furkan is extremely knowledgeable about the city, its history, and its culture, and we were very pleased with every aspect of the tours. Pickup at our hotel was prompt, the daily activities were... Furkan was a great guide. He was punctual, attentive and knowledgable about the City. He went at our own pace (with our 3 yr old daughter), but we managed to see everything planned for the day. Even though, planned to end by 3pm, we went an extra hour to make sure all of the sites promised were included. If you... More

We decided to tuck ourselves away in an unusual neighborhood in Istanbul, so although Furkan, our tour guide, could not find us easily, he patiently emailed and wandered until he found us. From there, we strolled through the Grand Bazaar, the Spice Bazaar, a beautiful mosque, a ferry ride to the Asian side (one of our favorite parts of the... More

We had a great, although brief, visit to Istanbul, and booked two days of private tours. Our guide for the two days, Furkin Gokcel, did a great job of showing us around, telling us all about the places we saw, and discussing Turkey history and politics. He picked us up at our hotel both days and got us to the... More

I arranged with Ayut Ayik for the tour and he provided Ugar to guide us and a private van and driver. My wife and I enjoyed the tour very much and were very satiffied with every aspect including the booking and the follow up. Ugar met us at our hotel exactly on time and drove to old city with deluxe... More

This tour is an incredible experience and value. We wanted a private culinary tour and Furkan did not disappoint. It includes a full Turkish breakfast, a great lunch and many small stops and bites in between. We skipped dinner because we had eaten so much on this tour. However, it was also a great general tour of Istanbul as well.... More

We had two days with our guide as his firm were recommended to us by friends. The first day was really superb and our guide very informative and helpful as he took us around the old citiy's sites which were superb. Our second day was difficult for our guide as we are not shoppers and hence the Grand Bazzaar and... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
