I have to disagree with the below reviews and be very objective with my review: Pros: 1- The on board guide Burak, a young Turkish guy was very informative, disciplined and very happy to support the tourists. 2- We paid 35 euro per person for the cruise (very clean boat) on the Golden Horn and Bosphorus and actually you really... We asked specific questions of the rep trying to sell this tour for us. We are not big fans of group tours/coaches so we made sure about the size of the group. The rep assured us that there would only be 25 people max on the boat. So we decided to go for it. Firstly we ended up sitting on... More

My hotel booked me through IBO for their "Dolmabaçhe Palace with Bus and Boat" tour. The tour included a walk through in Dolmabaçhe Palace and Küçüksu Palace. The boat cruise went by a few sites which the guide explained thoroughly. An hour was given for leisure at Pierre Loti, which most tourists used as a time to purchase lunch. The... More

3 adults and3 children we chose the boat and bus tour which cost us £104. The boat trip was nice and saw a lot of universities, hotels and palaces from boat, guide spoke good English , only one stop at an old fort but nothing much to see there except the wonderful scenery of the blosphorus, but not allowed to... We were picked up at our hotel at the scheduled time. The bus ride to the boat location took 2 hours. The tour company can't do much about the traffic delays. The weather was overcast and rain. The tour company can't control the weather. The boat was reasonable size and clean. All average so far. The same driver and guide... More

My wife and I booked a full day tour through our Hotel and we were picked up at our Hotel promptly in the morning. Though it almost didn't happen for us as they charge in Euro's and Turkey uses Turkish Lira and being from England we only had that and pounds on us! This threw us a little bit but... More

Glad we chose the half day because you get picked up at mid-day and return in early evening. There may be a long time on the bus dropping off other passengers after the cruise, but enjoy the views of the city! The price was on the high side BUT after the day ended we felt it was worth it. The... More

I used their services during Sept 2015. 1) Bosphorus tour: The boat was big, nice and clean. The facilities provided by the tour operator was average compare to the fees (25 EUR pp) they charged. The boat only offered coffee and drinks. There was no snack available. It seems the cafe guys forgot to top up on their supply before... More

It's a slow day, but that's the point. We booked this halfway through our stay in Istanbul to give our feet a rest and it did exactly that. Don't book it if you're not after slow... Collection was free and on time, we did get picked up in a coach and trailed around picking others up, but it gave us... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
