My parents loved the tour with Allistanbultours.com. We had a price tour around the city with transportation provided and All Istanbul Tours drove us around Istanbul and provided a lot of information about the history of the city.

We used OneNation Travel (All Istanbul Tours) for a day trip from Istanbul to Ephesus and back. This was arranged prior to our trip while still in the U.S.. The internet communication was timely and clear. We felt comfortable paying on-line prior to the trip.
OneNation did a great job logistically arranging for all the transportation from our hotel, to Ephesus and back, without missing a beat. We had a great guide, who spoke excellent english, and really brought the story of the Ephesus area to life. He explained why this area is holy to both Christians and Muslims as well as why the city was abandoned over time.
We hit every spot on our itinerary (Tmeple of Artemis, Ephesus, Ephesus Museum, and the House of the Virgin Mary) except for the Isabey Mosque. Instead of the Mosque, for our last stop, we were taken to a traditional rug-making facility where we were shown how silk was produced and rugs made. Then we were brought into a "warm room" where we were pitched to in order to buy rugs.
At first, the pitch seemed like we were going to experience something similar to a hard sell at a time-share, but it ended up being a soft sell. Irregardless, I appreciated being shown how rugs were made, but did not like the bait-and-switch tactic used to get us there. I still would have rather visited the mosque. And I'm not sure if OneNation Travel knew about this since they contract out to different, local tour groups.
Other travelers (from different tour groups) that we ran into on our way back had a worse experience where they were taken to a rug making facility as well as a leather shop where they put on a fashion show and were being prodded to buy. Hardly the experience you want to have at the end of your trip.
I'd recommend checking with your travel group about these "end of trip" experiences and have them make other arrangments if your not interested.

We booked two separate and varied day tours of Istanbul with One Nation Travel (http://www.allistanbultours.com). From the email correspondence, to the organisation/booking, to the professional English-speaking guides - it was all a pleasure. We were met promptly each time at the airport and taken straight to our car with driver and guide. We were a group of 4 adults and one 3-year old. Tickets for the main attractions were booked by them in advance so we avoided the long queues. I would certainly use this company again in Istanbul.

From Cruise Critic I found a recommendation for a private tour of Ephesus while on a cruise through Kusadasi. After I booked that tour on-line, I was offered a discount on a tour in Istanbul, so I grabbed a half-day tour of the Blue Mosque, Topkapi, and the Bazaar. Our guide picked the 4 of us up right on time at the hotel with a luxurious, spacious Mercedes. She was flexible in the day's timing, and, for a reasonable add-on fee, ended up taking us from the hotel to the cruise ship. A great way to see the sights in a limited amount of time.

We were in Istanbul for a port call recently. We wanted something different for a tour, not just a standard dinner show. So we booked the Bosphorus Dinner Cruise. Great decision! We had such a fun evening! Dinner was great--they grilled the chicken and beef right on the back of the boat. The open bar was generous. And the entertainment was terrific. The Belly dancer had each of the men up individually to dance with her, which made for a great video. And all of us were up dancing before the cruise was over. The transportation that OneNation provided was prompt and friendly. All in all we would highly recommend this tour!!

I was apprehensive till I met the representative of One Nation at Istanbul; as I had booked on line for the 12 of us for 2 days with specific demands. Very comfortable vehicle.with our fantastic guide Haneefi, He was patient at the same time being responsible in bringing us back to the ship on time. as the Grand Bazaar was closed due to the national holiday , he took us to the Spice market which was not in the itinerary. Bonus was that he not only spoke very good English was handsome too. My husband told him that he resembled George C loony. Sorry that I did not get to meet Bilal from one nation travel.http://www.allistanbultours.com or http://www.onenationtravel.net/
whom I had been in touch on mail and on the phone.Thank you Bilal and Haneefi for the wonderful time.. We are back in our country. Shobha Rai .Bangalore ,India

We are planning on spending about 10 days in Istanbul before embarking on a Viking River Cruise to Venice. We will arrive in Istanbul about March 17, 2016. My Nephew is from Turkey and is " connected " very well and will advise me on details. However, I would like to arrange for a bunch of Tours ( Private and Group are both OK) while we are staying @ Le Meridien.
I am looking for your suggestions for a PACKAGE of Tour Itineraries. I want to " see it all"!!!
Thanks!
You can send an email response to my Husband, Steve or me.
