Just returned from an awesome trip to Turkey. We used the services of Muharrem from Road Runner Travel who arranged all our tours and transfers outside of Istanbul. Starting from picking us up from our Hotel in Istanbul all through to Cappodocia, Pamukale, Kusadasi (via Konya) and back to Istanbul. We are most appreciative of the professionalism in which our... I went to a 2-days tour to Cappadocia with Roadrunners. The tour were awesome, very nice guides and locations. The transfers worked pretty well. The only problem I had was with the flight back to Istanbul when Turskish Airlines made a mistake with my reservation, and I had to pay for another flight ticket. But the agent at Roadrunner was... We booked a 10-day package trip to Turkey covering Istanbul, the Aegean coast and Cappadocia with Road Runner travel. I wrote to a few travel agencies based in Turkey and Muharrem from Road Runner was the only one that responded quickly and professionally. Muharrem patiently responded to several emails and later WhatsApp messages to help me plan our trip perfectly.... More

Muharrem came through for me! With barely a day's notice he booked a tour of Ephesus, my flights from Ephesus to Cappadocia and on to Istanbul, hotel in Cappadocia, an extraordinary balloon flight and the most memorable tours of the amazing Cappadocia region. Nevzat was excellent!

As soon as I reached Cappadocia, I realised I had a fever and had forgotten to pack warm clothing. Nevzat, our guide throughout immediately offered me his jacket. This ran common between pretty much all those involved with the organisation of the trip - everyone was really helpful and great at what they did. The cave exploration, ATV rides and... More

Half the pleasure was the confidence that all would go well: airport transfers, balloon ride, hotel bookings, etc. Nevzat was nice enough to lend my son his jacket, as it was chilly and my son had caught a cold. He wore the jacket throughout. Kubra was an articulate guide and very knowledgeable. Nebi Öztürk was an amazingly skillful balloon pilot.... More

I took a tour in Cappadocia with Road Runner and it was wonderful. Nevzat was so helpful to show me around the best places and explained me everything about this magical place. Road Runner Travel agent Muharrem helped us with the Cappadocia trip and it was well planned. We were able to see all the landmarks of this beautiful place at a leisurely pace thanks to our wonderful guides Sibel, Kubra. The guides knew their history and geography pretty well. Very good in English. And our fun loving driver Nevzat.... Just knows... More

My girlfriend and I booked Road Runner Day Tours with Elif. She was very honest, and helpful by answering our many questions along the way. She was patient with us and gave us all the information we wanted without pushing us to book the trip. There was a mishap with our flight out of Istanbul where the timing of our... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
