I booked a 3D2N package with Yusuf's help, and overall it was generally smooth. Everything was as mentioned inside the itinerary, from the meals to the tours. I notice that the itinerary given isn't really clear (when it comes to taking the night bus I didn't know which bus terminal I should depart from and where I should stop exactly), but what reassured me was being able to constantly contact Yusuf, or his counterparts, at any given point along my journey. The Turkish people I met along the way were also really helpful to me as a foreigner, and were really pleasant.

My husband and I went on an incredible 16 day tour of Turkey. It was an amazing trip that went flawlessly due to the excellent planning, itinerary, great accommodations, excellent tour guides, and attention and responsiveness provided throughout the trip by Irem. I can't say enough great things about Irem. I wish she could plan all of our vacations!! While planning the trip, she was easy to work with and incredibly responsive. She followed up immediately both prior to and during the trip to all forms of communication. Irem and Road Runner Travel, thank you for the trip of a lifetime. We look forward to working with you again the next time we come to your beautiful country!
For clarification:
Unlike most group tours where you are with the same group of people, this "group" tour is arranged differently. For the most part, you are with a different group of people and a different guide for each day of the tour. There were a couple of days when we had the same guide 2 days in a row. The average number of people each day was 10, with some days being more or less. We enjoyed meeting different people from all over the world, and there was plenty of time to connect.

We enjoyed our 12 day Road Runner tour around Turkey. We were a small group of 8 friends, so travelling in a van with a guide to sites and activities was well organised and we avoided long queues. Our accomodation was comfortable and food on the tour was more enjoyable once we were taken to local cafes to sample traditional foods, rather than huge buffet style lunches shared by many visitors. Some fine tuning of the end of the itinerary could have seen us enjoy an extra night in Canakkale. Having different drivers and guides on most days of the tour worked well. Road Runner company was quick to respond to our groups' requests and queries and were a professional company to choose. We would recommend this small group tour of Turkey and places visited were amazing.

So grateful for the Roadrunner team for organizing a trip of a lifetime for my friends and I. We worked closer with Mr. Ibrahim, who catered the tour package to our requests. The entire trip was very organized: the drivers arrived on time for pickup, helped with the luggage, and safely got us to our destinations. The tour guides in the different cities were friendly and knowledgeable. We had no trouble with the domestic flights which were booked by Mr. Ibrahim. The lunches provided by the tour were delicious, diverse, and very filling. Can't express how amazing the experience was. Highly recommend this tour company.

Road Runner is by far one of the best, most accommodating travel companies that I have ever worked with. They organised for us day trips in Cappadocia, trips to Pammukale and Ephesus with all transport and accommodation logistics in between. Every step of the trip was well thought-out and planned, even considering a few hours of sleep and rest prior to an overnight bus and a full day of travel ahead. All the tour guides that accompanied us on the day trips were exceptionally kind and brilliant. I would recommend them to everyone who is thinking of travelling to Turkey.

As a solo wanting to visit Türkiye, I did some research on tours and opted for Road Runner Travel after reading the great reviews. The tour did not disappoint!
The 11 Day Road Runner Tour covered some major tourist destinations, incorporating their fascinating history, diverse cultures, archeological findings and a sailing day with swimming on some beautiful mediterranean beaches.
Road Runner partner with local tour companies to move tourists to sites via vans and planes. The vans were comfortable and guides knowledgeable. This went without a hitch. I enjoyed the company of likeminded others on the day trips. There were a few the quick trips to some merchants;leather:jewelry,:local produce and pottery which was interesting and fun.
The economy hotel package suited me as a solo and they were centrally located within an easy walk to restaurants, sites and transport.
Breakfasts and lunches were made up of tasty local cuisine.
There was adequate down time to do some exploring.
If I needed to tweak a detail Irem was always on hand to assist promptly.
This tour was a great adventure from start to finish. Thank you to Irem for making the Türkiye tour such a seamless and memorable trip.

Recently my husband and I went on a 12 day Road Runner tour with 3 other couples. We were very happy with the tour and how we were looked after by Irem, our travel consultant, our guides and transfer drivers. We were often by ourselves on tours and transfers but if others joined in it went no higher than 15 people which was excellent when going to busy historical sites to enable optimum information gathering and short waiting times for the group meeting back with the guides. We chose this company after a lot of research as it allowed you to tailor your trip to suit needs. We flew between Istanbul and Cappadocia then to Izmir to cut out long drives for the first part of our trip. Once in Kusadasi, our base for three nights, there was a lot of time in the van going form Izmir airport to Kusadasi,Kusadai to Ephesus, day trip to Pamukkale and then onto our next nights accomodation in Cannakle near Gallipoli sites. I would recommend having a rest day in Kusadasi or chat to your travel agent about different options to break/reduce the driving time. The Comfort Package provided us with excellent hotels central to the main areas of each town. Most days breakfast and lunch were included and was wonderful to be able to find our own meal options for dinner. Some days our lunch menus were generous so only needed a very light dinner. We enjoyed the smaller more authentic lunch venues during our trip. There are visits to some important Turkish craft industries during the tour day with some more interesting than others. Overall it was an excellent tour and it exceeded our expectations seeing the amazing sights of Turkey.

From the first contact with Road Runner Travel, they made me a tour proposal that fit my travel dates and the places I wanted to visit. Later in the planning his response was always immediate to my questions and comments. During the tour, everything was perfectly coordinated, between guides, on-site managers, drivers, access to places of interest, meals, lodging. Everything was great, very friendly, which made the trip an incredible experience. In particular, Irem was always aware of how everything was going. He was the one who assisted me from beginning to end of the trip and his support and treatment was always super professional.

We booked the 7 days itinerary and it was amazing! Mr Ibrahim was our contact person and he was always available for assistance and always checked on us. Everything was arranged perfectly and the hotels were very good. The guides appointed to us in the different regions we visited were all very experienced and awesome. Booking for hot air balloon was also done by them and we got the most passionate pilot. Everything was well coordinated from the beginning till the end. Thank you!

Booked a 4 day tour to Cappadocia and Pamukkale which appeared to have other things included. We chose this company because we wanted to fly between places rather than spend hours in a coach. Cappadocia first 2 days was great but the airport we flew to was Kayseri, over an hours drive away from the accommodation. Guide was excellent. Day 3 we were flown to Izmir around lunch time, but our accommodation we were told was Kusadasi. So at least another 3 hours travel to get somewhere which is nowhere near Pamukkale. The next day we had a 4 hour bus ride and a7.30 start to get to our destination. We had about 2 hours at Heropolis/Pamukkale then off to lunch which was rushed so half the bus could head all the way back to Kusadasi. About 6 of us were dropped at another airport with 5 hours to wait for a flight to Istanbul which got us there after 11pm. We spent 2 days travelling for 2 hours and a rushed lunch
Well never use them again

Hi there! Thank you for your review on Turkey! My bf and I are visiting Turkey for 2 weeks in April. What was your favorite part of the trip? Did you go to the coast? How was the weather in April?
Thank you so much for your help!
Written March 3, 2015
What i can suggest is that better include these places on your trip like kapadokya north and south yoyr with hot Air balloon -it was really the best experienced i had there, pamukkale , ephesus and the last one is Istanbul. I think the weather there on April will be normal as rightnow (March) theres no snow already.
So enjoy on your trip.

Would flights from UK & return be included. Or do you have to arrange these yourself.
Written January 20, 2015
You have to arrange it yourself, then to give the arrival time to them so that they can plan the suitable time for your tour.

I personally had not thought too much about traveling in Turkey. However, when talking with some friends who want to travel with us, they mentioned Turkey as a place of real interest.
My main interest, along with history. is the food. What would be some highlights in that area? Since this is a Muslim, would we find wines of interest.
Just beginning to think about travel for a group for this year. Give suggestions, please.

Hi Jo Ann, we loved Turkey, even more than Greece, which we combined last summer. You will love the food and good wine was served in most good restaurants. We also loved the seaside town of Kusadasi and hot air balloon ride in Capadoccia was thrilling and memorable. And do try a Turkish bath experience.
