We were first in Istanbul in 2012 and stumbled into Jennifer's Haman. The Canadian flag is an eye catcher. Turkey is known for its cotton goods, and you can find the best of the best here. Clearly Jennifer runs a tight ship. Any lady who can go to Istanbul and start up a business, clearly has a lot of grit and savvy. She sells first-rate products at a price that cannot be duplicated elsewhere. We love Istanbul, and when we think of the city, we think about Jennifer's Haman because we purchased robes, blankets, etc. that we have thoroughly enjoyed.

These are truly the best towels EVER. In 2014, I bought three large bath towels (as well as several pestamels) and followed their recommendations for allowing the cotton to "bloom" and they still look and feel brand new, six years later. I bought additional towels later to have a winter and summer collection of colours. Just bought some more this past week as a gift.

Putting the amazing quality aside for a moment, Jennifer Hamam has the best customer service. This is what I value most of all! Getting back to the quality, I’ve purchased of 20 big loop towels, and I’m absolutely in love with the colors and most importantly how the towels feel. I can no long use my old towels because they don’t have the absorbency or softness as Jennifer’s towels have. They are worth every penny.

Jennifer's Hammam was a wonderful surprise in every way. It started out by us seeing various towel places and then finding the one that was by far the best. Jennifer's Hamam is based on traditional weaving, and the linen towels we bought, (and my bathrobe), are fantastic. But when we got to meet Jennifer and Greg in the big showroom we learned about the near-death of the traditional weaving trade. Industrially produced towels, being cheaper and still pretty good nearly wiped out the traditional weavers. But by buying all they could produce and asking for more, Jennifer's Hamam has helped to rebuild the market for this beautiful handmade product. This also makes a big difference in the villages where the weavers are working. We've now bought both linen and cotton hand-made towels, and can't recommend them highly enough. They just keep getting better. Read up on their website too. It's an amazing story.

I just shopped with Jennifer’s Hamam, and I must say it was an easy, pleasurable, and rewarding experience! The quality and beauty is everything they say it is! I bought towels, scarves, peskirs, and sheets. It was gratifying to know I was not only buying high quality items that were made by hand, but also supporting such an important trade-craft and art. I started by filling out the questionnaire on their website, and scheduled a time for a virtual tour. Istanbul is seven hours ahead for me, so I had limited options to work with, so I decided to go shopping at 6 am, before work started. Jennifer reached out to me personally via e-mail to acknowledge my request, and provided an overview of what to expect, what items she had available, and their costs. I requested a FaceTime tour. Haci (pronounced Hah-jee) was my host. He was fantastic and very patient. Since it was 6 am for me, I was having my first coffee, while Haci was having tea at 1pm. He spent an hour with me answering all my questions and showing me all the options they have from towels, to scarves, to sheets. Their store has at least three floors, so my tour, and then my follow-up questions, required him to go up and down stairs many times. He got a workout! He was very careful to ensure that I saw and agreed to everything I wanted to buy. Then double-checked. Since there are limited ways to make purchases virtually with a Turkish store, I chose credit card. Although apprehensive, the transaction was fine, however you may need to notify your credit card company to expect a charge from Istanbul, if buying from foreign countries is not a normal occurrence. They shipped the next workday and my purchases arrived three days later! It was like Christmas opening the package and enjoying the beauty and feel of each item! Jennifer followed up personally to ensure all was fine. Now that I have used them, I realize I need another set of towels! Dave, Maryland, USA
