Located in the old city, Prens stands on Vezirhan Street; between the Column of Constantine (Cemberlitas) and Nuruosmaniye Mosque. As a trendsetter, Prens has its own boutique styles, as well as made-to-measure individual designs in leather and fur clothing and accessories. Offering the finest in quality and workmanship, Prens also stocks a large colorful range of traditional and contemporary Turkish design leather jackets.

We were very clear that if we pick a leather piece, it has to be at Prens.
The store owner is great but my favorite was our salesperson who spoke to us about Raj Kapoor movies in India...Awara etc. Pity I forget his name. SORRY SIR.
The lady at the cashier was kind too giving genuine feedback.
Only regret they had a red leather dress but it was not in my size. While they offered to deliver, I am not sure on the crazy duties that may get levied.
Must visit if you wish to buy a signature leather piece.

I recently had the chance to buy a men's jacket in this store, and I must say the treatment by its staff was exquisite, especially the girl who facilitated the fix of the sleeves (I don't remember her name now). The prices, although high at the beginning, allowed a reduction that determined a fair cost, if you want to buy a high-quality product. If I ever go back to Istanbul, I will visit them again for sure. (I'm in love with leathers jackets, I must admit)

I came accross Prens Leather store by chance, and found many appealing designs of men's jackets and coats I was looking for. However, after I found out they make custom-made coats, I ordered one to my taste and it was ready within 3 business days! WOW. Great quality, I am fully content with the product. The staff is great, very friendly and know what they do. The prices may be a bit high, but for the experience and quality you get at Prens, it is totally worth it, I think. I will come back when I am in Istanbul again to buy some more good quality stuff from Prens. Wish you all the best in 2022!

I stopped by here as part of my final stay in Istanbul. After having read about the fine quality and craftsmanship of luxury leather goods, by a family owned label spanning three generations, I was not disappointed.
From courtesy transportation, to assisting with my selections, fitting, and tailoring by a welcoming and knowledgeable staff (who also shared fantastic insight about the city), it is a truly first rate shopping experience.
If you want to see and experience the best Istanbul has to offer, PRENS is a must on any shopping itinerary.
Great location too- so much to see and do while you're having your purchases tailored.

I went to Prens because multiple people who had visited Istanbul told me it was the best place to buy leather. Well, let me say that I wasn't disappointed and, in fact, was so delighted to have gone to this place! I checked out the store and tried on some jackets before remembering that I'd be traveling around Turkey for two weeks with only a duffle and wouldn't have much room to carry this jacket. "Don Johnson," the amazing sales associate, was not pushy at all and handed me his card and told me "when you're back in Istanbul, let me know and I'll be waiting." Well, two weeks later when I got back, he was waiting there for me and remembered exactly which jackets and sizes I tried on. He ordered me some tea and had the owner, Jimmy, come up. I had visited Jimmy's hometown on my travel and we were all talking. I learned that Prens makes leather jackets for lots of renowned international brands and, while they cannot say who, you can see if you've had an eye on luxury fashion brands (needless to say, you'll be saving A LOT of money buying directly from them instead of brands that sell in Saks and Neiman). As I said before, no one in the shop is pushy like lots of salespeople in Istanbul can be, and they take a genuine interest in helping you find the perfect pieces for you. I can't tell you enough how much I appreciated them remembering me and why I was buying a jacket. I also cannot stress how warm and hospitable they were. If you're going to buy a leather or fur jacket in Istanbul, don't head anywhere else but directly to Prens. I know for sure that next time I'm back in Istanbul, they'll be my first shopping stop.

January, 2023 Bought a Leather Jacket (Calf Hide) with amazing grains.
After Florence - Italy, Istanbul is known for producing high quality leather jackets. Before visiting Istabul I had done some research as to best places to buy Leather jackets. And Prens was on my list to visit.
Before going to them I had spend two days touring Istanbul and checking out Leather jackets(Grand Bazar and Taksim). And I couldn't get myself to find one piece which spoke to me like the one I found in Florence. (I have already been to Florence and own an Lamb Hide Bomber Jacket). So I continued my search, on my last day in the city I visited Prens to checkout Jackets.
I don't remember the name of the person who attened me but he started showing me around and we started sampling jackets. I Being from India the gentleman showing me around started talking about Bollywood and Movies. It was an interesting discussion.
I was very clear about the jacket I was looking for something with natural/non-machine polish (not too shiny) and with with amazing grains. And a little thick then Lamb Jackets. And of course in my budget.
We narrowed down to two jackets, and both them were way beyond my budget. After finalizing on the one which appealed to me the most, I discussed pricing.
They were very considerate as I was a serious buyer, and offered me a generous discount.
I would definitely visit again and recommend everyone to check their products out.

Es increíble el regateo en Turquía, es una institución! Pueden empezar a pedirte cualquier precio, pero no pagues más que 200 o 250 dólares una buena campera. Tienes que tener criterio, conocer lo que cuestan en tu país las prendas de cuero y luego comenzar a regatear. Comienzan dándote un precio disparatado y allí comienza también la “negociación”, que si, que no, hasta qué cuando estás saliendo del local,’te paran y te dicen que, en un acto de bondad, hoy te bajan el precio. Es muy cómico. Terminas riendo de lo que te dicen. Lo que compres en Turquía de cuero no tiene par con el resto del mundo. El
Cuero parece tela de la suavidad que logran. Ya lo sabía. No compres nada donde te lleven de excursión a grandes tiendas. Es todo un sistema que tienen las empresas de turismo. Es una barbaridad lo que cobran, en alfombras, prendas de cuero y alhajas. Suerte!!! Y, a regatear!

Me and my husband are visiting Istanbul this September, we would like to buy a good quality Shearling coats for Mongolian cold and harsh winter.
I was wondering if the coats are available off season? Is it possible to see the designs and colors available in advance? also to know the price range? so that we can be prepared and buy ourselves good coats.
