I always thought that women were not allowed into the mosque! I'm glad that in this case this is not the case! Very beautiful mosque! During breaks, between prayers (the schedule is posted at the entrance), you can go inside and admire this wonderful place, feel the energy of goodness and light around! At the entrance, just as in a Christian church there were handkerchiefs, so in the mosque there are capes with a hood, which you can wear if you are without a headdress or in a short skirt. Very beautiful and unusual.

Minor Mosque is a sparkling new Mosque set in the northeastern part of the capital, close to Tashkent TV tower.
When looking from an elevated position by the main street passing by it, you can notice its grandeur and beauty. The entire Mosque is covered in shiny white marble with beautiful blue decorations at the entering muqarnas, as well two Minarets and a huge turquoise blue dome above the main praying area, resembling the traditional Uzbek style. Aside is a huge parking lot.
You can enter the Mosque for free even as a non Muslim, however cannot enter the main praying hall, but observe it from the visitors door by it which was quite enough to see the interior beauty.
Pro TIP: after visiting the Mosque head to the next door "Minor Somsa" eatery (100 m to the right) for amazing fresh baked somsa pastry (see the pic).

Huge white Mosque in central Tashkent, I visited as part of a city tour. As a non- Muslim I did not go in, I'm not even sure if it's allowed actually.
Nevertheless, I didn't mind because the exterior is so grand and impressive anyway. Beautiful grounds, striking facade, well worth a stop.

Located near the Bodomzor metro station, the Minor Mosque was named after the mahalla in which it was built. This building is not historical, but a new building built in 2014. True, with stylization of the best examples of Central Asian architecture. For example, the mihrab is modeled after the one in Samarkand. The mosque is located in an open space, so you can only hide from the sun inside it. There is no vegetation around. There are no people either. But there are probably more visitors on Friday. But it can accommodate as many as 2,400 Muslims.

Yet another fairly new mosque. Picturesque when you walk up to it with nice fountain in front and two elegant minarets. I picked up some really nice "musk and amber" essential oils from a vendor in the yard.

Beautiful on the outside and just what you would expect on the inside (unless you are a woman, in which case you just get to look in from the doorway).
