Situated across the road from Le Grande Plaza hotel, less than 5 minutes walk.
I was looking for somewhere to watch the English Premiership New Year fixtures, saw the 'Sports Bar' sign and went in to check it out.Wow! The staff speak excellent English, are friendly and helpful, there's a menu with great food and both local and imported beers (good value prices) and, best of all, it has the South African SuperSports satellite sports channels - all of them! A big screen for the main game, plus monitors behind the bar if you want to watch an alternative sporting event.
They open up outside of regular times for whatever it is you want to watch, as long as you give them prior notice. I was able to watch my team live on the big screen on both December 30 and January 1.The SuperSports channels cover it all - English and European football, North American sports, rugby, cricket and other major sporting events.
So pop in, say hello to Yuri (the boss) and the girls behind the bar - you don't have to miss your team in live action when you're in Tashkent.
