Myself and a friend visited close to sunset on a weekday in April. A large square which is effectively also a roundabout with the road traffic flowing around it. Notes: I recommend going to the top floor of the adjacent Soviet-era Hotel Uzbekistan for 17th...More

In the center of this square, there is a statue of Amir Temur ridding a horse. It is an important intersection in Tashkent, and you may probably pass by. It is a nice place to take a walk.

This is a nicely landscaped park with a statue of Amir Temur (Tamerian, Tamerland) gallantly riding a horse and waving to the presumably cheering masses. Temur was a Mongol conqueror who was able to gain control over a large part of western, central and south...More

It's alright. Just a statute in the middle of the a small square. You can walk around the, but it isn't much to see.

It is just a normal square where you can find a bank with an ATM, but there is nothing really interesting about it. You can just pass by, but you won't spend many hours around.

Located not far from Metro Amir Timur. Here you can see the locals strolling around, and some will even talk to you to practice their English. Further west is the famous Broadway, where a lot of souvenirs and art works are selling there. At night,...More

We were staying at Hotel Uzbekistan so to get to the main road, we had to cross the square. It has a huge statue of Timur on a horse. Impressive. The garden is large, well laid out and well maintained. Its easily accessible from any...More
