This stunning mosque is the biggest in Cental Asia. You can also visit a mausoleum of the first President while you there. Built by the French company it is truly an architectural masterpiece, both inside and outside. You can see it from the plane as...More

This is one of the most impressive architectural landmarks of modern Turkmenistan. The mosque is built officially in rememberance of the victims of the devastating earthquake of 1948 (which claimed lives of mother and two brothers of the first President of modern Turkmenistan). For a...More

Gypjak Mosque is outstanding, with a wonderful gold dome. Inside the ceiling is spectacular. The mosque has sufficient space for 13,000, so the proportions are stupendous.

This is a beautiful and serene place. It is in perfect condition being that it is very new like everything else in Ashgabat. The giant rooms and basements are decorated. Also it was very nice to cool off inside since it was 130 plus degrees...More

It's beautifully decorated and gigantic, even the toilets in the basement was HUGE. You must take off your shoes to enter inside. This is the most impressive and nicely built mosque in Turkmenistan in my view.
