would like to stay more in Sri Lanka, but almost 4 weeks were good. We made a big circle, I saw so much things, so beautiful nature and local people who where smiling all the time. This tour was really worth it, I don't regret a single thing, I would never had such an experience without Dulshan. Thank you.

Lakpura provided excellent service for our recent 7 day trip to Sri Lanka. Great communication by their office and great transfers/tours from their personnel. They can personalize your trip with expertise. Highly recommended.

Very much enjoyed our safari with Lakpura LLC! They gave us great advice as to which park to visit for the highest chances of seeing elephants - and we saw hundreds! Our driver was professional and on time, and we so loved bouncing around with the roof down on our safari vehicle. This is a must for anyone wanting to get close to wild elephants in Sri Lanka!

A dishonest company that will waste your time. I've contacted them to arrange train tickets to Ella. They said they can help, and charged me money. A few days later I asked to confirm the booking and they said the tickets are booked (!!!) only to message me another few days later to say they don't have the tickets and can't book them for me. They wasted a week of my time where I could have asked another agency for help. Now I have no tickets and too little time to find someone else. it's a SCAM

We have had the worst experience with this company.
We booked from home and arrival package, hotel and transport to hotel. The hotel was Royal River Resort in Kithulgala. The company was ok with responding emails and answer to question. The problem came when we arrived.

A sweet driver was ready with a sign in the airport and we drove to Kithulgala. The drive was though a lot longer than expected. We landed at 3pm and 6pm we haven't arrived yet. So it started to get dark. When we arrived to the city we drove around for over half an hour asking locals about directions for the hotel because our driver actually didn't know where it was.....

When we finally found the hotel it was uphill 7km from the main road. AND the road was so bumpy that it's almost impossible to drive up there in a car. It was dark but we started driving anyway. We just wanted to arrive at the hotel. We drove so slow and a tugtug passed by us a few times - both from front and behind. After more than half an hour we began to understand what our driver was trying to tell us (his English wasn't that good). He told us these locals were following us and he was afraid what they were up to. We were on a road where we couldn't drive away fast - AND we couldn't turn around. At last we saw the tug tug block the road further ahead and we had to turn our car even though it was very dangerous. We were both very scared. After this we had to drive half and hour slowly down the road again - well knowing these locals were trying to get to us AND knowing we couldn't do much about it if they did.

We never arrived to the hotel and the clock was about 9pm. We had to drive from hotel to hotel before we found a decent one.

This was the worst first hand expression with Sri Lanka. And we have written emails to the company who now don't answer us. We think that's it more than fair if they give us our money back. We have paid for a hotel we never went to. This company should be aware of that the road up to the hotel isn't made for driving in a car - AND definitely not made for driving when it's dark. We're just glad nothing more happened.

So don't use them. The service is bad.

Great experience, our guide first took us to view Ella’s Rock. The hike for Ella’s Rock is moderately difficult, be sure to bring water and some food for along the way.

The tour guide even invited us into his own home for some coffee and biscuits before trekking to the 9 arches. This was easy as a majority of the trail was us following train tracks. May want to pack an umbrella or hat as the afternoon sun is unforgiving.

Kettle Adams Peak was also a ways hike which was only difficulty towards the end of the hike with what seems like and endless amount of stairs leading to the peak.

Amazing views, experience and tour guide - highly recommend!

We stayed at 98Acres and made a gentle walk along the path before starting the climb to top of Little Adams Peak..i was a little unsure if I could manage it as I do have COPD. Half way up I was determined to complete the climb and were not disappointed. The view was breath taking. also I was proud to have completed the climb. Steps and a little rugged area near the top created interest along the way together with the flora and fauna.

We booked 2 Safaris in Yala National Park with Lakpura Travels before visiting Sri Lanka in March/April 2016 - the biggest mistake we could have made.

Email communication before departure was slow and misleading and we had to constantly ask for clarification before our 'Vouchers' confirming our booking finally arrived - and they were a waste of paper - as they were not accepted as confirmation of payment or entrance tickets to Yala National Park

On the day of our first Safari, our driver and jeep did not turn up at our hotel, so we were standing in 35 degree heat watching all the other jeeps departing for their Safaris for over 1 and a half hours. We had to call this company at least 5 times for an explanation and every reply was that our driver was only 5 minutes away. When he did eventually turn up, he could not speak English, and we had to find a translator to find out that the company had sent him to the wrong hotel.

When we got to Yala National Park, the driver then asked us to pay for our entrance tickets and guide despite that fact that we had already done so from England to Lakpura Travels. Further telephone conversations to a third party company employing the driver and jeep (Lakpura could not be reached despite numerous telephone attempts and messages left) finally resolved the problem by us having to pay again with the promise that the cost would be reimbursed the next day to us.

The jeep was the worst heap of junk you could imagine, dirty, at least 30 years old, torn and cigarette burned seats and no seat belts. No water was offered although the temperature was hitting 40 degrees.

At least the driver turned up the next morning for our second safari on time - however the jeep then broke down at least 4 times on the way to Yala National Park. We then had to wait for another jeep and driver to arrive to take us on our safari, Again, he could not speak English and the jeep was just as bad as the first one.

At no time was an apology offered.

The next day, a representative from Lakpura turned up at our hotel reception - great we thought, at least they have come to apologise and explain why their service was so poor. By the time we had got to reception from our room about 5 minutes later, he had disappeared, and just left a review form for us to complete - again no form of apology was offered.

It is now over a week since we have returned from Sri Lanka, at no time have Lakpura bothered to try and contact us to explain this shambles of a tour.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

The driver Nalinda picked me up at my hotel, and together with the park's guide did a very good job of showing what was available at the park. He was quick to notice when I wanted to take photographs, and was prepared to position the jeep just right to get good photographs. He also took me up to the top of the sand dunes on the ocean side of the park.

What an experience! We arranged a Jeep through Lakpura and asked for a guide as well. I think the guide is quite necessary as ours, Lahiru, took it upon himself to show us every living thing in the park. We kept away for the most part from the other Jeeps and explored less traveled sections of the park and were rewarded with stunning and close up views of diverse wildlife. We saw too many elephants to count, crocodiles, jackals and we even saw a black throated hare. Lahiru has a trained eye and stopped several times to point out rare and unusual bird life that we never would have spotted by ourselves. All in all an unforgettable day that was very well organized and professionally done. Highly recommend both the company and the guide Lahiru Prasad.
