Unfortunately many of the colonial buildings tend to be permitted decaying, which is sad. This historical heritage should get restored to show future generations the history of Sri Lanka.

During the past few years the fort started changing rapidly. There are expansions going on. Latest attraction will be the Colombo Port City which is to be completed in next few years.
