This is a lovely gift store with mid to high prices. Lovely artisan fabrics and trader crafts you will find something to take home for sure. Smaller stores carry less variety but this bigger one was lovely. Books are expensive. Some clothing also pricey but considering the quality it acceptable. Worth adding to the visit list.

A visit to Barefoot is a must when you are in Colombo. Its a short trip down Galle Road in Bambalapitiya. An oasis of shopping delights - clothes, fabrics, books - pleasant even to browse but much to buy - with an amazing large iconic outdoor cafe with yummy food, drinks and really good coffee and top service. A great... More

One of my favourite places to shop whenever I am in SriLanka. Frequented by people from all walks of life, it is a fascinating place to shop. The fabrics they use are of very good quality and durable. My favourite is the men's clothing section. Make it a point to purchase a shirt and a sarong every time I visit... More

Art gallery, super bookstore, great cafe and top end shopping. Barefoot is a well established phenomenon in Colombo. I started going there is 2005 when I lived in Colombo for 14 months. I still wear the first blouse I bought there which is a testament to the quality of their hand loomed cotton clothing. The colors are terrific and last... More

On our last day in Colombo we wanted to buy some souvenirs and this was a perfect place. Prices were reasonable and the air-conditioned room made it a comfortable place to do some shopping. There is a wide range of things from books, jewellery, pillows, kids stuff and much much more. Everything is very clean. It is definitely worth a... More

I recently visited the Barefoot shop with a couple of friends. What an amazing shop. It has such a range of very good quality products, from local materials, teas, body care products and so much more. You have to visit this place. Great for buying gifts to take back home. It is not cheap but the quality is very good

Barefoot is definitely worth a visit, whilst the prices are expensive, there is definitely something for everyone and plenty of souvenirs to take home. If you hunt around, bargains can be found but don't expect help from the staff. I was impressed with the bowls and elephants made from recycled newspapers and would like to think my purchases help a... More

This was one of the most beautiful, distinct and personalised stores I visited in Colombo. Prices were a little above my preferred price point but it didn't matter: this is a place that's great for purchases, window-shopping and pure ideas and inspiration. There are items which make affordable gifts like their printed coasters, cards and postcards, and wooden doorstops and... More

The items available are of top quality that lasts for a long long time. Very good choice of vibrant colours and mostly hand made tops and bottoms for ladies and gents. I have shirts that are more than five years old that still look good and are very comfortable to wear. This is my go to clothes shops for gifts... More
