Filled with colour and endlessly fascinating, Barefoot is an essential part of any art-lovers trip. Special care is taken with their wares, many of which are handmade and delightful to look at. Tablecloths, clothes, journals, scarves, books, bags and more - this store has the lot, and all unique to Barefoot. I ended up buying a travel bag that I'm... More

The variety of their products is amazing. Each room has beautiful articles to purchase. The weaving is great to watch & all the things are such good quality. I purchased lot's of toys for my grand children which are reasonily priced. There is a lovely area out the back where you can sit & eat/ drink. Allow yourself a couple... More

You can almost miss this shop from the street as it has a very unassuming frontage onto the busy Galle Road but once you step inside you forget the heat and the bustle outside. The cafe is a delight and we enjoyed delicious homemade ginger beer with generous slices of carrot cake. Good quality fabrics, nice mats and napkins, tea,... More

Handcrafted items made with love, curios from all corners, amazing products made with recycled paper, and books, this one stop is a must- visit for all those who want unusual stuff, if not to shop, to browse. It soothes the mind. And then you can have your hot cuppa tea at the cafe within the premises.

Oh my gosh, I went to both Barefoot shops (the big one 2 times), spent tons of money and don't regret it at all. The quality and beauty of the things they sell are incomparable and to be perfectly honest, I sometimes get sick of haggling so rather spend the money, but in any case, there is no finding these...
