From the moment we were met at the airport until we we were dropped off 18 days later Bandu made us feel so welcome, looked after us and gave us an amazing Sri Lankan adventure. His knowledge was incredible and he was our gateway to fabulous experiences.
It was so lovely for Bandu to drive us and look after our every need. He was also able to suggest and facilitate extra experiences for us which enhanced our adventure.

We travelled across the south of the island and into Hill Country in a large van. We saw Mirissa, Hiriketiya, Bandarawela and Ella. Doshan, our guide, was lovely and professional and truly went above and beyond. He made sure to show us all the wonderful sights on the way and would even stop to let us take pictures of monkeys. He is very knowledgeable and above all an exceptional chauffeur guide. We have felt safe every step of the way.

My wife and I spent 12 days in Sri Lanka, being driven and educated by the wonderful Sanjaya of Heritage Expdeciones. He met us at the airport with garlands and drove us around the southern half of the island, from Colombo Kandy, to Nuwara Elya, Ella, Yala, Galle and back to Colombo. Sanjaya was knowledgable about every place but also all the places in between - we loved every place we visited but we also enjoyed seeing the towns and villages from the car and hearing about them or general topics like the country's history, buddhism and how it's been affected inr ecent years by covid and government corruption.
We had a fantastic experience of a wonderful country, but it was really made by Sanjaya seamlessly joining everything together, from getting local SIM cards at the airport to getting to every place, checking into hotels and sharing his knowledge and passion of the country, it's history and wildlife and in particular birds. It wouldn't have been half as good if we were guiding ourselves.
We highly recommend Heritage - we will be back and will ask for Sanjaya next time!

Sam is a very sympathetic and all round guide who knows a lot about the country but also about nature. He is also a very good driver. In short, a trip you will never forget!

My tip for future travellers: ASOKA!
We (2 adults, girl 8 years and boy 11 years) had a wonderfull 3 weeks in Sri Lanka guided by Asoka. The kids liked the leopard en the elephants in YALA NP the most. And off course all the swimming pools we had in each hotel the company booked for us. We liked everything: a perfect mix off nature, culture and beach!

We had an amazing trip together with our driver Harold. Harold is a great driver very polite and also a good guide who showed l”us some really nice places which were not originally planned on the trip. He organised everything really well, and has been really of added value for our holiday.

We visited for two weeks and managed to pack in beaches, mountains, culture, history, a safari and plenty of great food. The itinerary was well thought out and gave us the opportunity to experience some of the highlights of Sri Lanka.
Our guide Sanjaya was superb. He was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and always made sure we were well taken care of wherever we went. Sanjaya is very passionate about Sri Lanka and a gifted communicated, his knowledge of the island and its history is really quite remarkable. Car was comfortable and always spotless and driving always excellent. My partner was pregnant while we visited and also has some food allergies, Sanjaya went to great lengths to ensure this was accommodated everywhere we went.
Sri Lanka is a fantastic country, we can not recommend Heritage and Sanjaya highly enough.

We came to Sri Lanka with our family of 2 (2 adults with our 8-yo daughter). Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Sanjaya at the airport who took care of us during most of our 2-week trip.
Sanjaya presented himself as a "driver" ; a gross understatement considering the massive impact he had on our trip.
He was our de-facto guide for the many attractions (hikes, food market, safaris, etc) , visits (temples, sites, etc). He also gave superb recommendations for restaurants and bars.
We shared many great moments, meals, laughters, sights during these vacations.
Sanjaya is the most caring, well-attentioned and funny person - very grateful for making this trip absolutely amazing - one of the best we did as a family.

And yes, he also drove us safely!
Would absolutely recommend you ask for him in your next trip ; as I'd absolutely recommend you to go to Sri Lanka.

We travelled with Heritage Expediciones vor 1.5 weeks for a round trip in Sri Lanka and it was such a good vacation. They chose sustainable and modern hotels with friendly stuff and good food. We liked so much! The trip showed us a variety of history, religion and nature of the Island.
We could especially recommend our tour guide Sanjaya Mahendran - the best guide we had on all our vacations since a lot of years. He is the singalese man you like to get to know when you come to Sri Lanka. He is authentic and a beloved man who tries to keep everything great for his guests, even better weather or solves covid-problems. He knows everything about the island and gives you the relevant Information. Sanjaya speaks english very well and drives the car so safely.
You come to him as a guest and leave as a friend. Sanjaya thank you for the „enlightment“ of Sri Lanka and the wonderful time together. Wish you and your family all the best.

We had a great time in Sri Lanka largely down to our fabulous guide Sanjaya. His knowledge and birdwatching skills were superb and really added to our trip. Sanjaya was always a complete professional - making sure we had everything we needed. We always felt safe and well looked after - it was a pleasure to travel with him. Unfortunately our trip was cat short by a few days because of corona but Heritage and Sanjaya looked after us really well and made sure we got home safe and well. We are looking forward to a time when we can go back and finish our trip and would be very happy to travel with Heritage again. There were so many highlights of our trip including Gal Oya and seeing a sloth bear but the real joy was the birds and travelling with someone who could spot things we would have had no hope of seeing on our own. Thanks Sanjaya and Heritage - see you soon
