- NilushenColombo, Sri Lanka1,109 contributionsOne of our favorite place in ColomboOne of our favorite place in Colombo .Colombo City Centre is an upscale shopping center featuring high-end shops, an international food court, and a multiplex cinema. it is conveniently located and represents the best of Sri Lanka with an innovative design inspired by Colombo's rich cultural heritage, and integrated with the style of a progressive Sri Lanka. Compared to other parts of Colombo, the mall is very clean and well-maintained .Right opposite Beira Lake, it's a convenient spot to explore other parts of Colombo. Offers high-end stores and popular international brands. A wide range of cuisine options, from local Sri Lankan to fast food chains. It's an upscale mall, so expect higher prices for food and shopping compared to other areas of Colombo. Overall, Colombo City Centre seems like a great option if you're looking for a modern shopping and dining experience in Colombo. Our favorite place is scope cinema . Scope Cinemas is a Sri Lankan cinema chain known for providing innovative cinematic experiences. There are three locations in Colombo. This is their flagship location and boasts the most features. It has 6 screens, including one with Dolby Atmos sound and 4K projection. They also offer a luxurious "Gold Class" experience.Visited December 2023Traveled with friendsWritten May 23, 2024
- Sanka1 🇱🇰🇬🇧Bicester, United Kingdom6,312 contributionsGreat place for gift shoppingWe visited this shopping mall yesterday and it was great. In terms of size, this is on the smaller end of the spectrum but it does have a good mix of various shops that gives everything under one roof including great gift shops that sell authentic Sri Lankan products at reasonable rates. The top floor is a cinema along with food and gaming. Overall a very well planned shopping mall at the heart of the city.Visited July 2024Traveled soloWritten July 2, 2024

- Chandima NColombo, Sri Lanka79 contributionsMy Spa Ceylon experience at the CCCI usually shop at the Pelawatta outlet, but today by chance I visited the CCC outlet. There the ambiance and the smell is ohhh so wonderful, and the sales people were a mix of ok to absolutely helpful and friendly. A huge thumbs up to Yashodara who was beyond helpful and friendly. We want to have more people like her in all stores of Sri Lanka. She deserves an employee of the.month award. My personal opinion only. About the products , Spa Ceylon is one of my personal favourite, esp the body sprays and roll on. Visit them once and feel the difference . Good luck to Yashodara, again.Visited December 2024Traveled with friendsWritten December 22, 2024

It is a mall and as it is in the centre of the capital city it makes a fair starting point for a day out. It has everything you would expect, fashion, gifts, Starbucks and even a mini golf place. The outside balcony attached to the food court let it down as it is showing it's age.

We went to see "Ginnen Upan Seethala", about the JVP insurrection, so took us back in time. The film was a rose tinted view of that episode in Sri Lankan history. The cinema was very modern and comfortable with decent service at a reasonable cost. Pity about the rather long commercial ads.

This shopping mall is well organized. At the entrance, all the precautionary measures against Coronavirus were taken care of. Hand Sanitizers, taking each one’s body temperature and checking of our bags before entering the mall, these steps were well organized. Moreover the mall is big and there are lots of branded shops. The negative thing is that not all prices are good. Some products are very cheap and some are very expensive. There is also the illy coffee shop where you can just relax after moving around in all floors of the mall. So if you are tourists..I highly recommend to visit this place.

We went to the mall hoping to buy some Sri Lankan gifts and clothing. Unfortunately, most of the stores are just American luxury brands. I'm American and the prices of the clothing in those particular stores was baffling (80USD for an UnderArmor tank top), more expensive than what I pay in one of the most expensive American cities. We found a few stores that at first didn't look like American brands but after going inside we found just cheap clothing with American slogans. The mall does have a rooftop and we were lucky to find a band playing live music outside but again, they were singing covers of American pop songs. I just don't understand why anyone coming to Sri Lanka would want to shop in such an Americanized place, we surely didn't. I get it's located near many tourist hotels but that's exactly what it felt like.. an overpriced tourist trap.

A shopping mall with shops in leading brands. Situated in a nice surrounding facing Gangarama temple. Has spacious floors with good ventilation. People can hang around and shop or even do window shopping. Not much crowded in weekdays. Parking is large and the area directly connected to the shopping center. Parking is changeable. Food court or the dinning area has variety of selection among different styles including Sri Lankan. It has also got a cinema.

Very clean and comfortable mall.
I found dirty and many housefly in Sri Lanka everywhere, even in CMB airport, but not in this mall.

I stayed at Haven Fort Hostel at Vauxhall Street, walked my way to Seema Malakaya. I saw this Colombo City Centre opposite Seema Malakaya and decided to visit the shopping mall.
The weather in Colombo in Mar was terribly hot and it was like discovering an oasis in a desert. The moment you walk into the building, the cool and refreshing air conditioner air immediately `quenched' and reduced the bodily heat temperature to a comfortable level. I found it cool and refreshing roaming in the comfortable environment and visiting the shops from the ground floor to the food studio and the cinema area.
It was like any of the shopping malls in Singapore but such cozy medium scale shopping malls seem few in Colombo. The panoramic view outside the veranda of the food studio was spectacular. You could view Seema Malakaya and the adjacent Gangaramaya Park from a helicopter view. Colombo looks more like a metropolis with the lake in the center surrounded by skyscrapers.
It was surprising to see a Singaporean Snacks food stall occupied the front visible row of the food court. A group of Chinese tourists sat at the middle seats in the food court munching their fast food burgers. A juice salad stall and a Dessert Bar occupied the central area and prominently displayed mouth watering juices to customers.
I like the Cargills Food Hall (supermarket) at the basement. There was a promotional 50% discount for a Kist funfruit juices and I bought a packet of the mixed fruit juices and sat at a cozy relaxed corner just outside the supermarket enjoying and quenching my thirst. On one occasion, I bought a tub of Vanilla ice-cream and enjoyed my ice cream at the same corner. Outside the supermarket, there is a stall displaying a unique range of souvenirs and ornaments. The Spa Ayurveda shop looks unique with her attractive colorful design and I like the scent and aroma of the products in the shop.
This is a great place to cool yourself and get refresh for the next adventure around Colombo. The short respite rejuvenated my spirit. I visited here for 3 occasions and would highly recommend you to be here for the panoramic view and cheap sales at the Cargills supermarket.

Cinema itself was lovely great experience however the food you can take in to the cinema was terrible. I ordered the strips of chicken and fries omg was full of salt. Really you should allow us to bring our own healthy food. If we eat food like this we will have health issues. Even the separate fries we bought was full of salt.

Colombo seems to be in a developing phase. This place is a new addition to the city. Everything that you expect in a modern place is here, and the view of the lake is absolutely fantastic.

For a new shopping mall in the heart of Colombo this place is seriously expensive. It should definitely be called a high-end maul. While the building itself is very impressive, the entire place is filled with designer shops and unless you have very deep pockets, I would give this place a miss. I am from the UK, and am fortunate enough to be able to have the financial means to spend should I wish, but please be warned, there are few bargains to be had here, and who doesn't like a bargain? There are a lot of places to shop in Colombo, where you can buy the same items for a lot cheaper. However, if only designer goods will do, then this is the place for you.
