We have just returned from the most incredible 10 days in Sri Lanka, our guide, Kanchana, met us at the airport and took us on the most amazing tour of Sri Lanka. We booked through Secret Escapes, a package that included flights, hotels, some excursions, all transport and half board dining.
It was seamless, everything was just perfect. Hotels were of amazing quality, incredible food! The planned excursions where brilliant, not being a couple to sit still we also added in a few of our own which our guide was happy to help us with/take us to.
The best bit of having a guide for the trip was that he knew some great lunch spots! We felt so safe and welcome the whole time, I would recommend visiting Sri Lanka to anyone.

We booked our holiday through Secret Escapes which was locally organised by H.O.T. We were greeted at the airport by 2 representatives from H.O.T as well as Mohan Savinda who was then our guide and driver for the following 10 days tour around Sri Lanka. We were extremely lucky and thankful to have had Mohan as our guide and driver and we would highly recommend him. He is a very kind, warm and knowledgeable person and a very experienced guide. He tailored our trip so we were able to visit multiple locations and managed to get so much sightseeing done and maximise the time we had at places! He made our trip memorable and catered to all our needs and requirements. Most importantly he drove us everywhere safely and ensured we had no problems whatsoever. He also added a personal touch to ensure we got a real sense of Sri Lankan culture, food, history etc. He was also very flexible and planned the best routes and adapted where necessary so that we could enjoy all the activities with the maximum amount of time and also have a relaxing experience. Overall an amazing tour around Sri Lank with Mohan who was not only our guide and driver but became a good friend during the process too. We definitely would use Mohan if we were to come back to Sri Lanka in the future as well as recommend him to friends and family. Thank you so very much Mohan for an unforgettable experience!!

We had a 16 day tour from Negombo to the beach hotel in Beruwala. This tour goes via Habarana, Kandy, Hatton, Haputale to Yala.
We had with Patrick the best guide ever. In combination with our driver Erande we enjoy an experience we never had before. Patrick coached us around this trip in a perfect way. He was friendly and open minded and we felt like home with his support. Erande was an perfect driver and we felt safe and covered, when we traveled these small and sometimes dangerous lanes.
We can recommend both as a very good and perfect combination for all tourists who will discover Sri Lanka!
We will be back in Sri Lanka soon......

We recently returned from our holiday in Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful country with beautiful people. We booked our Hot Tourism tour through Secret Escapes which included a nine day escorted tour with 5 nights by the beach at the end.
We were so fortunate to have Lucky as our guide and Ajith as our driver. The extensive knowledge that Lucky had was incredible, from the history,culture,food,wildlife etc. he had no problem answering all our questions. We always felt safe with Ajith driving, he always ensured the mini bus was in the right place at the right time, we never even had to open the door. I can’t recommend these two enough, they took our holiday up a level!
In total we stayed in 7 hotels, Cinnamon Lodge and Cinnamon Wild really stood out for us but even they couldn’t beat our view at breakfast when we stayed at Melheim Resort. At all of the hotels the staff were so friendly they really couldn’t do enough for you.
The only thing I would have changed was staying longer at Cinnamon Wild, one night just wasn’t enough.
I definitely recommend this tour and am hoping that one day we can return to this wonderful country.

We've just returned from a fantastic trip to Sri Lanka. We booked our Hot Tourism tour through Secret Escapes which included a ten day escorted tour with 5 nights by the beach at the end in the wonderful Cinnamon Bey hotel. Food was amazing. The buffet was incredible, such choice!
We saw some amazing things and stayed in some lovely hotels. We saw elephants, water buffalo, a leopard, had a train ride, visited a tea plantation, went to Sigiriya rock visited Dambulla temple and caves. Sri Lanka is beautiful country with very friendly people, would thoroughly recommend a visit when the situation has calmed down.
We couldn't fault our tour guide Ananda who drove us around. He couldn't do enough for us, really catered to our needs as a family. We felt very safe and reassured in his hands. Definitely go with him.
We saw some amazing things and stayed in some lovely hotels. We saw elephants, water buffalo, a leopard, had a train ride, visited a tea plantation, went to Sigiriya rock visited Dambulla temple and caves. Sri Lanka is beautiful country with very friendly people, would thoroughly recommend a visit when the situation has calmed down.

Hello everyone,
We are à young couple from France
We visited Sri Lanka for a week, all trip prepared by this agency.
For us it was a wonderful experience, stayed in beautiful hotels and seen great places.
I would like to particulary thank our guide who was really the best you can get. His name is Mr Tennakoon and if you book through this agency you must ask for him as your guide.
He took us to wonderful places explaining every detail and making this trip for us really unique.
My favorite thing was learning to eat by hand like locals and his knowledge about the temples we visited and my wife loved the safari and the time he told as to wait and be patient and got to see a Leopard from a few meters away.
We had a great time, we fell in love with the kindness of the Sri Lankan people and the fact that everyone made us feel like home.
It’s a trip we will remember forever and definitely worth it.
Tks a lot to the agency and huge thanks to our guide.

We had an amazing 14 day tour of Sri Lanka with our guide Sarath and our brilliant very safe driver Riann.
Nothing was too much trouble for either of them and they became part of our small tour group giving us great information and providing many amusing stories and anecdotes.
The itinerary was modified along the way to maximise the experience for us all and nothing was too much trouble for Sarath on the tour of this fantastic country.
It was a great experience meeting and talking with many locals who were all lovely, genuine and friendly people so relieved to be seeing tourism return

Back in April we had an amazing trip to Sri Lanka, the experience was the best because of our excellent tour guide Saman and brilliant driver Danu, we always felt we were in safe hands with his driving. We’d totally recommend this pair.
At the time there were a few protests but the guides kept abreast of where they were and we took the appropriate detours so it was never an issue. The odd one we saw was very peaceful anyway just people stood by the road with placards.
We had a 10 day tour, there were a great variety of activities, cultural experiences and sights to see then 5 days at a hotel by the beach to relax. We were certainly ready to chill by the end!!
The only thing we would have done differently was try to arrange our flights so we had time to relax for at least a day at the beginning, we were tired from our long haul flight then we were straight into busy days and some early morning trips, but we did it how it was and were fine!
We covered far more than we expected and felt that Saman went out of his way to give us the best experience, buying local food treats and other items.
He had an extensive knowledge of wildlife which was so interesting.
He was always ready to talk about local culture and explain things or show us various experiences.
Most of the hotels arranged through HOT Tourism were great and the odd one that wasn’t quite to the standard expected was still ok and Saman welcomed the feedback to pass onto HOT. My husband enjoyed the hotter food but there was still plenty of variety for me that was less spicy/hot!
It was very special to see all the wildlife and just to see elephants grazing/walking by the side of the road was amazing.
We enjoyed all the trips, some aspects interested us more than others and Saman and Danu then tailored the tour more to take that into consideration rather than going strictly by the book. We really appreciated this.
If we went to Sri Lanka again we’d definitely ask for these two guides!

Unforgettable 10-day private tour of Sri Lanka with our tour guide Ananda. We were welcomed at the airport with hugs, a big smile, refreshing bottles of water and promptly transferred to our first hotel at Negombo in an air conditioned vehicle. We then had the afternoon/evening to adjust to our new surroundings and prepare ourselves for an itinerary full touring Sri Lanka’s amazing sights and staying at several hotels. Ananda spoke with good English and had excellent knowledge of his Country. Anada was very accommodating and certainly made us all feel welcome!

We have just completed a fantastic tour of Sri Lanka with House of Travels and Tourism. It was our first visit to Sri Lanka and we had a fabulous time.
Our guide, Wilson, who stayed with us for the entire 14 day trip, was exceptional and really made all the difference with his local knowledge, advice, friendliness and overall professionalism.
Our private car for the holiday duration was clean, spacious and comfortable.
The selection of hotels was well above our expectations and all offered a very good choice of dishes both local and European.
The train trip from near Kandy to Hatton was just amazing.
Thank you for planning such a good trip for exploring your lovely country.
