First class organisation and service starting with Chami pre-trip and great follow up afterwards. Our driver, Manjula, was courteous, careful and very flexible to our changing needs. We had an amazing holiday in Sri Lanka, our driver Manjula was fantastic. His driving was perfect we always felt safe with him, he had great knowledge of the local areas and Sri Lanka in general and was able to show us off the map places of beauty and share his knowledge with us. Nothing was too much and he was happy to drive us the long distances at all times of day, stopping for amazing views and never complaining about the sand we brought back in with us! We had so many highlights in our trip but loved surfing in Mirissa, the stunning train to Ella and our safari driver was amazing and clearly experienced taking us away from the other trucks and spotting the smallest of animals hiding in the undergrowth. We only had one issue when away with one of the tours we were booked on (no fault of YDSL) , Manjula was helpful and Chami ensured we were satisfied with the outcome. We enjoyed relaxing beach days, amazing food and shared some amazing memories with our new friend Manjula. Thank you so much- hopefully see you again soon!

Once we decided on selecting YDSL Chami was very helpful with suggestions and itineraries which we tweaked from time to time between us. We were met at the airport and drove straight to Dialog to get a travellers sim which is well worth it (£2.50 for up to 30 days data). Chami also took us to a local money exchange in Colombo - better rates than the airport. On day two he showed us around Colombo and we had a great biryani at Hotel de Buhari. From day 3 onwards it was Viraj who drove us around the country. What a great guy. Calm, friendly, knowledgeable and funny. We learnt a lot about Sri Lanka and it’s people with Viraj. He had lots of local knowledge and tips e.g. stopping roadside to eat so many delicious types of street food, managing front row seats at the cultural show in Kandy. When we changed our minds, due to weather for example, he was flexible and nothing was a problem. It was great way to get to know the country and its lovely people this way. There was a hiccup on the last day pick up to the airport but it was a genuine oversight and between us both and the hotel we resolved it within an hour or so. We’d highly recommend Chami and Viraj to anyone considering travelling to Sri Lanka.

We had an amazing trip with Chami on our tour of Sri Lanka in September/October 2023. Chami assisted in putting together an itinerary that was perfect for our family of six with children aged from 3 to 14. We travelled from Colombo → Kandy → train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Ella → Yala National Park → Anantara Tangalle. In total we spent 9 nights in the safe hands of Chami. He did an exceptional job with the travel and managing the children. We highly recommend Chami of YDSL for anyone looking for an exceptional and knowledgeable driver/tour guide in Sri Lanka.

We had a wonderful experience with YDSL. Chami helped us with suggestions and refined our itinerary.Our driver Manjula was very friendly and he made us feel very safe and comfortable. He patiently took us to all places we wanted to and and took nice pictures for us .We got a chance to explore lot of local Markets and wonderful places as well. We received a warm welcome in Colombo airport and our driver was always very prompt on the timing and never once late. Chami kept in touch with us everyday on what’s app and was checking in on us . He also arranged a safari for us and made sure we get the train tickets even at the last minute . They were also very accommodating to our plan changes. Had a very memorable trip with them and would highly recommend .

We had a very nice experience with YDSL. Right from the booking Chami was guiding with the itinerary. The car was available on time at the airport and the pickup was well coordinated. The car was well maintained and clean. We were provided with drinking water in the car. The chauffeur Amare was very accommodating and understood our requirements well. Particularly as we were traveling with infants we had few special requirements. Also, throughout the trip he accompanied us most of the places we visited and tried to guide us. Overall I will strongly recommend services from YDSL.

Chami was very helpful and responsive from the outset. He had thoughtful suggestions on our itinerary which worked really well in practice. He also checked in with us numerous times before our trip which really put our mind at ease. We had an issue at the start and Chami even answered messages and called us late at night to resolve everything incredibly quickly. Our driver was perfect so friendly and respectful and stopped to buy us fruit and corn and show us interesting everyday life in SL. He was perfect with us and our young son for our 8day trip. Considering some of the drivers on the roads he was also a very careful driver and made sure we felt comfortable at all times. We have definitely made a long term friendship. Chami also organised the train to Ella at peak Christmas time securing us great seats with the best views. We were also surprised to be picked up from our accommodation by open top jeep for our safari in Habarana which was a real highlight. We would highly recommend Chami and YDSL our experience is that he will go above and beyond to ensure your time with the company and driver is perfect.

One of the best experience that one can have with a tour guide/driver in Sri Lanka. Amare was extremely kind and caring towards us. Gives good suggestions in terms of places to eat, places to visit and what should be expected there. He made sure we kept up with our plans across the 4 days and we covered more than what we had hoped we would. He always has a smile on his face even when the pick-up is at 5 AM or 10 PM. If you want somebody who is a friend and a good company on your trip to Sri Lanka, definitely recommend going with him.

We had come to SriLanka for eight nights and we had an excellent experience with YDSL.Chami was very quick and responsive with my queries and always trying his best to work around with itinerary and quick tips. Manjula was our guide for the trip and we really liked the cooperation and empathy on the entire trip. He was always smiling and happily accommodated our requests.
