The Pakistan Monument is an awe inspiring work of art. Its scale and beauty compare well to any monument in the world. From above the monument is laid out in a way to represent the Crescent and Star on the nation’s flag. From a distance you are able to take in the grandeur of the overall monument. Once you climb the steps take time to enjoy the magnificent views of the Islamabad skyline with the mountains as a backdrop. You can walk around the back of the monument for some of the best views. Then take the time to enjoy the beautiful artwork on each section that tells the story of Pakistan’s rise to an independent nation. Best if you go with someone local, who can explain the meaning of each panel. Afterwards, across from the monument you can visit the Monument Museum and later the gift shop and cafe. We purchased a beautiful marble carving in the gift shop for about $20 USD. We arrived at about 2 PM. Our host took us to a parking lot very near the entry gate, where it was easy to find parking as many cars were leaving at that time. It was relatively crowded as we visited on a Sunday, which is the day off for many Pakistanis, who come with their families to enjoy the beautiful grounds and views. This is a must see attraction in Islamabad

I really enjoyed my visit to the Pakistan Monument. There is large car parking area close-by and a short walk then takes you through to the actual monument. Visiting the monument was free. I loved its unique architecture. The intricacies and workmanship of its design were amazing and I really enjoyed my time closely viewing the monument. Its location is equally amazing. It is in an elevated position affording the visitor a wonderful uninterrupted vista of Islamabad. There is also a cafe / gift shop close-by and the monument museum. It is definitely worth visiting and also looks amazing illuminated at night.

It was an incredible place to visit, offering a breathtaking view that left me in awe. The scenery was a perfect blend of natural beauty and tranquility. Rolling hills stretched out under a vivid sky, while the gentle breeze carried the subtle scents of blooming flowers and fresh greenery. The colors were so vibrant, from the rich blues of the water to the lush greens of the trees, that it felt like stepping into a painting. The peaceful ambiance made it a haven for relaxation, and I couldn’t help but feel a deep connection to nature in that serene environment.

This monument is dedicated to the people of Pakistan with each petal representing the different individual culture that makes up modern day Pakistan. The petal shaped structure takes its cue from Mughal architecture. The inside of the petals are beautiful but the outside of them are very bland. There are some great views of the surrounding city and hills from here. Whilst I didn't come at night, the few pictures I saw of it at night looked impressive.

The Pakistan Monument is an amazing architectural beauty. It is kind of petal shaped structure. It reflects Pakistan's provinces' heritage, culture, diversity and unity. The four main provinces are Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. While the three smaller ones for the territories. Entry to the area of Pakistan Monument is free but not to the museum. Such a great place to explore. Never miss while in Islamabad.

It was a challenge for our driver to get to the location. One of the roads leading to it was closed and we had to go around. Once the car was parked in the lot off we went. As with everywhere entrance fees are higher for overseas visitors.
Lots of school children on day trips. The place is huge and a fair walk from the car park. Walk around and marvel at the monument. The leaf shaped outers have intricate drawings and worth a close look. The vantage point round the back offers a spectacular view of the city.

The Pakistan Monument is a national monument and heritage museum located on the western Shakarparian Hills in Islamabad, Pakistan. The monument was constructed to symbolize the unity of the Pakistani people. It is dedicated to the people of Pakistan who sacrificed their "today" for a better "tomorrow". Its elevation makes the monument visible from across the Islamabad-Rawalpindi metropolitan area and is a popular tourist destination.Adjoining the monument is the Pakistan Monument Museum, which includes a wax museum depicting important events leading to the Pakistan Movement. Which close in evening early to get in the museum visitors have to reach early before evening. Furthermore, the facilities includes a reference library, audio-visual archive, conference hall along with a 62-seat capacity auditorium known as Panorama Hall. From air the monument looks like a star (center) and a crescent moon (formed by walls forming the petals), these represent the star and crescent on Pakistan's flag.

Sitting atop Shakerparian Hills, it's a place worth going to for panoramic views of the capital. With nominal fee and ample parking, its a good place for a day out. It has a history museum attached to it which is an added bonus.
P.S. take your own water/cold drinks and hats as not much coverage from sun.

It gives you a very short and brief history of Pakistan. One must visit to see and learn about the homeland. The location is easily accessible through taxis and by walk as well. It also gives you a nice view of Islamabad Margilla Hills and Faisal Mosque.
