Pir Sohawa is a small mountain town in KPK Province, just outside Margalla Hills National Park. The road passes through MHNP and is pretty good all the way, even much beyond Pir Sohawa. At numerous points along the road, one gets excellent views of Islamabad as well as other valleys in MHNP. On weekends there is lot of traffic and... More

A short but beautiful and curvy drive from Islamabad. On weekends very crowded but it has a good and cool view and relaxing environment.

Pir Sohawa is not just famous because of Monal Restaurant. It indeed is Islamabad's best kept secret. A great hide out for stretched out and busy corporate elite of the city Needs some cleanliness and better eating kiosks too!

For those living in Rawalpindi and Islamabad Pir Sohawa may not have much to offer but if you are visiting twin cities and want to go around a simple track that leads to a lush green point with a view to the city below for an evening tea, smokes or just for the heck of it. This is your place.
