Although the only monuments are the great swimming pool and the Buddhist Stupa, built much later, it quite impressive to walk on the oldest streets in the world observing the well conserved ruins of the houses. The small museum is interesting. Nevertheless the area around MD is, in general, dangerous, so take care before going.

A historic place which is well taught in history as well. Located adjacent to Moenjodaro airport which is easiest way from Karachi. A must visit place in the area. Easily workable for those who are passing through Larkana. Snacks are available but for food try near city. Follow the instructions to protect the heritage. There is museum with two standard... Moenjodaro was considered one of the most spectacular cities of the ancient times. The ruins of this ancient city in the Indus Valley never fail to give travelers knowledge of the ancient life and the marvel of early systems of town planning. Walk along the remains of this olden city and witness the way of life, the culture and the... More

Definitely one of the wonders of the world. When we arrived via van to this amazing landmark I was depressed about the negligence it is suffering. Mohenjo Daro, known as Mound of the Dead. It was one of the first world and ancient Indian cities and civlization that flourished between 2600 and 1900 BCE, which was discovered in the 1920s... More

Moen Jo Daro is a world heritage site in Sindh province of Pakistan. It is only 28 Kilometers from Larkana and about 5 kilometers from the airport of Moen Jo Dari. The site is a pleasant place to be. Very quite away from all the hustle bustle of city and at the ruins of 5000 years old metropolis which was... More

This place was great the ruins were reasonably well preserved and the government provided guide was very good. Moreover you are generally free to wander about as long as you are with your guide. Not many other folks around. For me it was a great experience to wander about ruins I had learned about as a small boy in school.... More
