I normally run in the opposite direction from variety shows for tourists—but Tumen Ekh delighted my wife and me. The throat singing, traditional singing, and contortionist were at a high level, and while the dancing was less so the costumes were great fun. Get there...More

A 15 minute stroll from the main square towards the direction of Shangri-La hotel UB will bring you to the small performance centre where this ensemble holds nightly performances. Please book early as they tend to oversell the seats. Rather drab both inside and outside,...More

Tumen Ekh is one of the best Mongolian song and dance ensembles offering performances in an intimate ger-like setting, within walking distance of Suhbaatar Square. The dancers, voices, musicians and the instruments combine to offer genuine, spine-tingling, mystical entertainment. The costumes and choreography are very...More

Amazing cultural experience. The performers are first rate and the whole show is very entertaining. I would recommend this as the best thing in UB.

I've been to this concert several times with guests traveling in Mongolia and they have enjoyed it. It is about one hour and gives a good sampling of Mongolian music, dance and includes a contortionist as well. Line up for tickets 45 minutes before the...More

We had to pay our tour guide to come here. Some throat singing, instrument performance, some funny folk dancing, all quite boring but the Contortion performance was really amazing. PS you have to pay to take photos, but not many people bother.

Just go there and watch. It dann be a long sit, but worth it. Dance, music and clothes of the Mongolian history

This really is an excellent, entertaining and interesting show! The costumes and set were extremely colourful and enhanced the evening’s varied entertainment programme! Every musician and dancer was highly skilled and professional - as was the contortionist - and put on faultless performances! I enjoyed...More

Excellent cultural show highlighting Mingolian dress, traditions and culture. Artists performed song dance and music which was professionally performed.

Our guide recommended this activity, so we all went (group of about 15). Especially the 2. part was quite entertaining, with uplifting music and traditional dances. The very last part was unnecessary loud (better prepare to cover your ears), but all-in-all very enjoyable.

Not sure exactly but your hotel will know. Be sure to arrive at lease 30-45 minutes early as you don't get seating and it's pot luck for seating! It's a great cultural experience. We really enjoyed it!
