I scheduled an overnight, two-day trip with Azur Travel Mongolia. They were really accommodating to my needs and wants on the trip. I let them know what I wanted out of my trip and my expectations were exceeded! If your trip allows for it, I would recommend going for more than two days (one night). We had many great experiences, but I would have loved to stay longer and enjoy them more!
I was picked up in the morning, and taken out of the city to our host family's ger. I stayed overnight in a ger with Olivier (my guide) in a separate ger from the host family and was able to watch the amazing sunset and sunrise, along with riding a camel, and getting to see sand dunes for the first time! We stopped at a few monasteries along the way. Throughout the trip, Olivier explained a lot about the history of the culture, architecture, and food, and was able to answer tons of my general touristy questions!
Olivier was great at planning, keeping in contact, and making sure my needs were met while traveling. I would love to go back during the summer and have another adventure with Azur Travel Mongolia!

Well first of all, all the things are different from my expectations. It was bit cold, especially at night it somewhat chilly. Even I heard that there were snow which reached a height of 1 meter at orkhon valley in the next day I left :-) What a surprise in May!! Anyhow the 5 days trip for the wild life was really great and more spiritual to me rather beautiful as seen in the windows background images. Moreover I strongly recommend to have a night at Nomad family’s humble ger. Of course it is very uncomfortable but you will see why I am recommend you to do it. Wake up at early morning and look around the quiet, no actually tranquil environment around you and ger. Definitely it will give you more than you pay. I hope you also get the feeling I had. Finally I really thank to Olivier with two major reasons. Basically punctual at all times and very focus on his jobs. Of course, he is very kind and good looking!! Thanks for the care during the trip. Olivier.

My friend and I booked a tour of Mongolia with Azur Travel Mongolia. Olivier, the owner met with us via video link a few times to plan the trip. He was very responsive to what we were looking for and we appreciated having input to the itinerary. We wanted a trip that followed the road less travelled. We were not disappointed!
Our trip was amazing!!!
I feel we were able to get a sense of the country and learn about the culture through our travels. Our guide, Undraa, was so knowledgeable about Mongolia's history and culture. She really helped us understand what we were seeing.
Our driver, Ighee, was great as well. We had total confidence that he could get us to where we needed to go.
We travelled west and north from Ulaanbaatar through the vast steppes, mostly off road, staying at tourist camps, with nomadic families, and camping on our own.
It was a great trip! I recommend Azur Travel Mongolia 100 %.

We would like to thank Olivier and his partner for organizing this trip, everything was perfect and we are grateful because we are aware that this is a last minute request.
We did the 12-day itinerary in the Gobi Desert, the Orkhon Valley and the Tsagaan Nuur Lake, in total immersion among nomadic families.
We had great experiences with the families and our Ganba and Bagabandi team. The landscapes were magnificent, the families very welcoming and caring. We felt very comfortable. Our guide Bagabandi was attentive to our needs and very helpful. Our driver Ganba is clearly experienced, we remain amazed by his knowledge and mastery of the road. We had great times together, laughing and sharing. The language barrier was no longer a problem because we created a bond together.

We had an amazing 10-day trip across central Mongolia with our 7 and 8 yr old kids, all organized by Olivier and his team at Azur. They set us up with a great guide who was able to explain a lot of the specifics of Mongolian culture, and we stayed in a mix of yurt camps, family tents, and guest yurts. It was great staying in the authentic tents with the families to see how they lived. We ate Mongolian barbecue, the kids ran wild and helped herd goats, and we went on some exquisite hikes. The Azur team seamlessly coordinated meals, stops, and outings and made it very easy for us. The kids loved it too. Yes, there’s a lot of driving, but it’s necessary to see it all and it’s beautiful!
Olivier worked with us to craft an itinerary specifically for us, working to keep driving to a moderate daily limit and working in lots of animals and hiking opportunities. It really felt tailored to us ❤️

After a wonderful discovery of Mongolia in the summer of 2023 with Azur Travel, we only wanted to go back! Beda and Olivier have concocted us for the summer of 2024, a new stay of 23 days to go to discover the West and the North of the country. Always accompanied by our excellent and endearing Guide Michou, we enjoyed every moment and appreciated the seriousness, professionalism, responsiveness of this Franco-Mongolian agency. Very nice handling by the azur Mongolie agency. Secure payment, possibility of paying a part directly on site. A very serious agency, in operation for several years in Mongolia
Advantage of the stay: perfectly bilingual guide (French language), driver with a lot of experience, who knows perfectly the tracks without GPS, especially in the steps. The organization of the circuits (for our part, from north to south) was very complete and met our expectations. Nomadic families are very warm, very welcoming.
Disadvantage of the stay: not much to say, except perhaps for our part the distances traveled per day. (Please note, this is not a criticism).

I thank my colleague François for advising me to choose Azur Travel Mongolia because we have made a journey that will remain etched in our hearts. The route proposed by Olivier met our expectations in every respect. The organization was just perfect. Everything went smoothly, we felt totally safe and let ourselves be guided by our kind and caring Bujin our translator and Duuree our driver, without them the trip would not have had the same flavor. It’s hard to find the words to summarize this incredible experience with Azur Travel. Everything was perfect from scratch, even though our trip was arranged at the last minute. We had the chance to spend these 15 days with Ruiga our driver and Bujii our French interpreter, who by their kindness and generosity made this trip an exceptional experience. Je vous conseil si vous avez le choix pour vos congés de partir au mois de Mai ou Juin. Vous trouverez des billets d'avion à bon prix plus facilement et c'est une saison agréable pour voyager en Mongolie (moins de visiteurs) et climat agréable.
