From the time you land to the departure date, it is very personal for Mr, Soylo and his team. We we personally received and taken to our hotel and checked in by Soylo. It does not get better than that. Our trip was in September 2019 and our guide from day one was Amra Altansukh, a school teacher with excellent knowledge on any topic concerning Mongolia. He was very friendly and a good conversationalist and had a great sense of humor. The drivers in different locations were experts at navigation and had good knowledge of the terrain. The itinerary has been well planned but be prepared for changes due to weather or flight schedules if you want to have a great experience. The HS Khan resort was pure luxury in the middle of nowhere and I wish we had an extra day there. Same goes for The Gobi Lodge. The food was excellent in both resorts as was the service. The Golden Eagle Festival and the Gobi dessert were the highlights of our tour and must be on every ones bucket list. The tour is expensive but worth every penny as there is no compromise on luxury.

What an amazing trip~! Mongolia had been on my bucket list for a long time. I am so glad that Soylo recommended that we attend the Golden Eagle Festival in the far west region of this country....it was a privilege to see these traditions still being maintained. It was like being part of a movie. I loved our "in suite" bathroom accommodations and the properties used by this tour operator. We always had more food than we could eat at all three meals per day, and they provided water and snacks along the way. Our guide Saraa was very good and we had drivers who spoke some English as well. Hiking, touring, museums, and trips to local markets were all included. Just can't say enough about this trip of a lifetime. We were well taken care of, our luxury accommodations were appreciated, and we were not disappoint. If you are not fit for long drives I might recommend short flights to all these locations but it did give us the feel for how vast and unpopulated this country is.

From our first contact with Soylo we knew we would have an outstanding experience.
Attention to detail and meeting our needs. In some places exceeded our expectations ! It was a great itinerary covering 2 weeks of travel within the country
We can certainly recommend Mongolian Luxury Tours. The Festival and Gobi were highlights.

I paid a $3200 deposit in September 2023 to go on a tour in July 2024 with this company. All my communication has been with Soylo. In November I realized I could not go and cancelled with an email to Soylo. At the beginning of December he told me it could take up to a month to get my money back to me, as he had to get it back from various hotels... 6 months prior to tour! Mid January he asked me for the last 4 digits of my credit card. Early February he told me all banks were closed for the Lunar New Year! The banks were only closed for 2 days! I am still waiting for the return of my deposit.

After 4 years trying to get to this amazing country my friend and I made it to Mongolia . Unru, our guide was outstanding, knowledgeable, and kind with a great sense of humor and pride in her country. The Naadam Festival in Ulaanbatur was like an Olympic opening ceremony - amazing! We could walk around and visit the archers competing but were not close enough to the wrestlers to really understand their skill.
Accommodations were very comfortable wherever we went and the delicious food was an unexpected surprise. In the capital city, restaurants of every type of cuisine were available. To get out into the varied areas of the country, however, was the best experience from the eagle hunters to the camel, reindeer and goat herders, to the museums and the Flaming Cliffs as well as the Gobi Desert was something I'll never forget. Pack your bag!

After having to put off this tour for 2 years due to covid restrictions we finally were able to take this once in a lifetime visit to Mongolia.
Mongolia is a beautiful country but not the place that you would do it on your own. Mongolian luxury tour met us at the airport and drove us to our hotel. Traffic in the capital Ulaanbaatar is terrible and not having to worry about transportation was great.
One has to be flexible when traveling. Instead of the (cancelled) flight to the Gobi we were driven in comfortable SUVs. It was a long drive but we made several stops and had a delicious lunch mid way. When we reached the Gobi Nomad Lodge, our super deluxe Ger (yurt) was exactly as shown in the brochure. Private bath, A/C and it was very large. The food at the camp was tasty with a local flair.
For the next few ways we visited the sights of the Gobi including camel rides, sand dunes, visits with a local family and a hike up a mountain to see ancient petroglyphs.
After driving back to the capital we flew to Bayan- Olgii , the city closest to the Golden eagle festival. In addition to 2 days at the festival watching the eagle hunters compete we spent an afternoon with a family of hunters. The mother cooked us lunch inside of the family Ger. We had a chance to taste many local specialties and learn about their unique life and culture.
Our tour guide Serjee was like having a caring mother hen watching over us( who could also hike up any mountain). She really got to know our group and was helpful with any issues that came up. We learned a lot about Mongolia and the people from her.
I travel a lot but this tour was really unique and worth the expense and difficulties getting there. I treasure our time in Mongolia.

What an unexpected trip. This was announced as a luxury tour and luxury was delivered for the most part. Four of the five accommodations were outstanding. The fifth, well, it was pretty good considering that it was in the middle of nowhere about 4 hour drive from the nearest town. Electricity was supplied by a generator.
As for Mongolia itself. Be prepared for an adventure. Outside of the major urban centres, there are few paved roads and the ones that are paved have many potholes. This is just the way it is. To get from point A to point B will often require driving on hardtack dirt surfaces at speeds sometimes reaching highway values. The drives are outstanding but they are not magicians. It will be rough at times. Be ready. All this is well worth the views.
From the massive sand dunes to the Flaming Cliffs to the mini Naadam Festival, it was all magical.
And of course, our local guide Serjee, made it all that much better. She had lived and worked in a few of the places that we visited so she was able to describe quite well what we were seeing and experiencing.
Mongolia is a must before it gets too popular.

10 day tour:
When you offer a tour and it is paid in full, all aspects of the tour should be as presented (or better- not worse).
Accommodations promised were far below expectations and presentations. Holes in screens, window coverings missing, shower door missing, etc.
Yurts were to be superior deluxe and we received standard. To say meals were modest would be a complement. No catering to vegetarian, unless you like LOTS of sweet pickles.
No response when questioning the tour operator- or since our return.
Drivers were okay, but it is a good thing for seatbelts. Fun for them to race across the sand on non-roads.

September 2024, we booked a 14 night DLX FAM trip with Mongolian Luxury Tours, an experience for travel agents to evaluate services.
Unfortunately, working with CEO Soylo was frustrating due to his slow responses.
After Final Payment, the itinerary received was incorrect, including 12 nights instead of 14.
Early hotel check-in Paid with Final Payment wasn't arranged.
The airport bus was cramped, not as advertised.
A sudden flight change led to a dawn arrival.
At the Gobi Desert Lodge, my booked deluxe ger was given to another family, replaced with a subpar, uncomfortable one.
The experience was disappointing and unprofessional.

My wife and I had a great time during our tour. Soylo took great care to pay attention to every detail. He sent us a personalized itinerary before we went there. We travel extensively. This was the most detailed itinerary we ever received. Serjee was an outstanding guide. We are elderly couple. They made adjustments during our stay in Ulaanbaatar and Gobi Nomad Lodge to take care of some of our needs.

How far in advance did you get itinerary? We are less than 30 days and have not heard a word although trip is fully paid.
Thank you
