We (2 travellers) did the 14 day Treaures of Mongolia tour. We had an excellent experience with Amicus. They were flexible and easily able to make changes as we needed. Our guide was very nice and so helpful and our driver was incredibly experienced and did an excellent job. The accomodation in the ger camps was great and we had no issues with any of the places we stayed. All of the ger camps had electricity at some point, all had hot running water, and in the colder areas we had wood burning stoves. We did experience a range of temperatures (from Gobi heat to snow in the valley), and we were comfortable throughout. Our private vehicle was great! We had some car trouble the 3rd day but it was taken care of and we had no additional issues. As two females travelling alone we felt incredibly safe.
We were able to make last minute changes to our itinerary without any issues. They provided pick up and drop off at the airport and made our entire trip stress free.
This was an excellent tour as we were able to experience so much of the landscape of mongolia from the Steppe, to the Gobi desert, to the mountains and Orkhon valley. We found the pacing good, there was a lot of driving but we expected that since we were doing a road tour. They were very flexible with stopping and allowing us to get out experience the landscape. We saw a side of Mongolia we would not have been able to experence if we had not done a driving tour. The gobi desert was abolustely a highlight. Next time we would also like to go to lake Khovsgol, but we did not feel we missed out on anything with this experience.
There was a lot of downtime where we could just walk around on our own, which we really appreciated. We were able to explore the landscape, which in many places is virtually untouched. But for those who desirue more structure in their days, this may not be the tour for them.
The food was excellent! One of us was a vegetarian and it was not an issue at any time and the vegetarian options were great.
I would highly recommend doing a tour as Mongolia is not a country that I would have been able to navigate on my own. I have traveled throughout the world as a self guided travellor, but the lack of signage and lack of english in rural areas would have made this far too difficult. Amicus gave us an unforgettable experience, really the trip of a lifetime and we were so grateful.
Highlights: The gobi desert, Yol valley, Ongii monastery, Yaks! in the orkhon valley and Hustai. The Tsenker hot springs were nice, but much more touristly than the rest.

I joined Amicus tour for a 7-day itinerary with a small group of friends. The tour design covered sightseeing across different major landscapes and included activities which we were keen to try. Rainbow was a fun and knowledgeable guide, while Miigaa the driver was steady, reliable and sensitive to our needs during the travels. The two of them were a cheerful duo and kept our spirits up during the trip. I recommend Amicus for anyone who is keen to go on small-group tour in Mongolia.

My wife and I had planned a trip to Mongolia for many years, so we were very explicit on what we wanted to do and how we wanted to travel. We drew up a list of all the places we wanted to visit and what our requirements were. We contacted 3 companies in Mongolia to arrange a private tour of about 3 weeks. After receiving proposals from the 3 companies we chose Amicus. Amicus was the most responsive and understanding of what we wanted. We were sent a very detailed itinerary which we requested some minor modifications to - everything was done professionally and thoroughly. We had a private tour of 23 days - which is long by some standards, but we prefer a pace that is relaxing and unrushed. During the tour we had an excellent guide for the entire trip. Enkhsaikhan was an excellent choice for us. Enkhsaikhan is very knowledgeable, honest, open, sincere and caring. We enjoyed every day with her. We had 2 different drivers and both were excellent drivers. We travelled the length of Mongolia by car and were always safe and as comfortable as possible. Everything on the tour went perfectly. The places we stayed were exactly what we wanted. The sites were fantastic. I took about 2,000 photos. We have many strong memories of the beautiful sites, the people and the stories we were told by Enkhsaikhan. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

We booked with Amicus for a one day tour to the Chinggis Khan statue and 13th Century Park. We were a total of 7 people and I had done this tour previously with a different company however this experience was so much better. First off, communication during booking was easy with very quick email responses from Mr. Billy. On the day of the tour, our guide Saihanaa met us with my name on a paper and we were introduced to the drivers. The cars had Amicus magnet/logos on them and drivers were wearing Amicus shirts which I thought was very professional. I can't say enough good things about Saihanaa. She was so nice. Her English was perfect, she did a really good job managing all of us at the Chinggis statue and explaining everything in great detail. She always kept us updated with time and how much time we needed or had left, when we would eat lunch, etc. She was so organized. At 13th Century Village she did a great job translating. Sometimes the guides there would go on and on explaining something but she did such a good job having them pause so that she could translate thoroughly and answer our questions as well. She was very open to all the questions we had and shared about her family's traditions too. On my previous trip we did not get to do any activities nor take photos with traditional clothing there, actuallly I didn't even know that was possible. Saihanaa knew about everything we could do at 13th Century and gave us all the options, horse riding, archery, photos with traditional wear and having our names written in Mongolian script. She made sure we had the complete experience there. I highly recommend this tour agency and especially Saihanaa. Great experience with them!!!

I cannot recommend Amicus enough. I recently returned from a 16 day private tour through Eastern and Central Mongolia and am still in awe of the amazing experience. My great aunt (78 years old) and I (24 years old) felt like we were in great hands. As two women traveling alone, this does not go unnoticed.

Our guide (Delgerbat) and driver (Amga) were wonderful, extremely knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating to quick extra stops we asked to make and all the pictures we wanted to take.

Amicus worked with us from the beginning to plan our trip to exactly what we wanted to see and was equipped to make tweaks when things didn't go as exactly planned (as always happens on a trip this long across so many locations).

The accommodations chosen either met or exceeded expectations (ger tourist camps, homestays, hotels, and small wood cabins).

This was truly the trip of a lifetime and I . I highly recommend Amicus and if you get Delgerbat or Amga your trip will be better for it!

Amicus provided a wonderful experience to immerse oneself in the beauty and culture of Mongolia. Witnessing the Naadam festival, including the magnificent opening ceremonies as well as the archery, horse racing, knuckle game and wrestling was a memory that I will always cherish. The beautiful landscapes and experiences in the Gobi desert, Terelj and Hustai were incredible. The vehicles were very comfortable, the yurts were mostly comfortable although a couple were subpar, the food was good and the drivers were great but by far the highlight of the trip was our tour guide Ellie. I have traveled all over the world and have never experienced such a caring and supportive guide who ensured everyone in the group got individual attention so all of our questions were answered and needs met. The guide Oyuna for our last day was also great. I highly recommend Amicus for a Mongolia tour and, if you are lucky enough to get Ellie, you will appreciate it even more. There were a few administrative hiccups but they were quickly addressed.

I cannot recommend this company enough! Amicus provided my husband and I with an absolutely incredible and perfect customized tour of Mongolia! They made sure that the tour included everything we wanted to see in addition to “must-sees” picked by our expert tour manager Bilguun. Bilguun handpicked all of our accommodations and delicious meals. We stayed in the best and most comfortable Ger camps and ate expertly crafted traditional Mongolian food everyday.

Our tour guide, Moby was the absolute best! She was very friendly, knowledgeable and made sure that anything we wanted to see or do happened! By the end of the trip she become more than our guide, she became our friend!:) Our driver, Togi, was able to navigate through unmarked and wild terrain without issue and made sure we got to all our destinations safely and quickly.

If I started writing about all of highlights of this trip, this review would be a novel! Simply put: If you are traveling to Mongolia you absolutely MUST let Amicus help you out in booking your trip.

10 out of 10!

2 of us signed up for an overnight stay at the Hustai National Park and visiting other attractions in the Terelj National Park, and Gengkis Khan Statue. The guide was knowledgeable and the driver were both friendly and provided enjoyable company.
The itinerary was just nice, and not hectic. They were flexible on timing and accommodating to our needs. Must also commend the food prepared along the way, every meal was amazing, hardly what I expected for a road trip! Would recommend Amicus for future tours in Mongolia!

Amicus is a serious outfit, which is trustworthy and delivers what it promises from start to finish, and to a high standard.

Went on the Golden Circle with Naadam tour and would like to commend my driver, Amgaar, who drives with skill and maturity, and especially my guide, Sayana, who is simply charming and clearly passionate about her country and its promotion; furthermore, her English is excellent, which enables pleasurable conversation beyond the set script.

Pre-travel communication needs to be strongly maintained for peace of mind; nevertheless, I think prospective punters would be hard-pressed to find a better company to deal with over there and, this said, I would highly recommend.

And, so, thanks, Amicus, for providing me with an outstanding and memorable visit to your magnificent country.

We are a mother and son (10 years old) duo. We are back from Mongolia for a week already and still, we can’t stop raving what a fantastic trip it had been. Our 7 days 6 nights from Ulaanbaatar all the way down south to the Gobi ranks very high up in our list as one of the most eye-opening and adventurous of our globetrotting journey so far.

The raw beauty of nature and range of landscapes we saw along our way to the Gobi were simply breathtaking. The highlights for us are our hike at the Flaming Cliff, climbing up the Khongor sand dunes and sledding down, horse-riding in Yol Valley and listening to the echos as the Mongols belt out a folk song.
The landscapes were just so varied. Initially we were worried that the car journey (4 to 6 hours everyday) from point to point will be boring, but boy were we wrong. Staring out of the car window, feeling the wind in your face and to be greeted by such vast expanse of nature is such a humbling experience. We could never get bored with just admiring the scenery outside, counting camels, goats, horses, sheeps, our car running alongside some really fast antelopes, spotting a mirage. Even peeing in the wild was such a highlight for us!

Our guide Deema, and driver, Sandagaa, were absolutely wonderful from beginning till the end. From my first communication with Deema over the email, the planning and organisation had been superb and we were able to cover all itineraries that were promised, and even beyond that. Deema and Sandagaa were knowledgeable, attentive, reliable and just delightful companions to have. They looked after us so well that we did not have to worry about anything other than having a good time. We miss you both already, especially my son Bang Bang and all the anklebone game sessions that we played. Thank you Sandagaa and Deema for keeping us happy and most importantly safe, for without you both, our trip would have not been that fulfilling.

I will never look at a world map again without my gaze falling first onto Mongolia as you have swept our feet off with your natural beauty, kindness and hospitality of your people. Mongolia, you can be sure we will be back to visit you again!!!
