As a capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar offers unique sightseeing opportunities, from secluded monastery for nuns to 20th century relics. Our tours offer in-depth interpretation of the sites we visit and focuses more on learning and educational aspects. I’m a 74 year old grandmother, who along with my 10 year old grandson, just returned from the Gobi to the Golden Eagle Festival tour. Every day was a new adventure. We explored temples, sand dunes in the Gobi desert, rode camels, were welcomed into ger homes and much more. Our ger accommodations could not have been better. Much attention and planning made for a trip of a lifetime. And the food was first rate. Everything about the tour was first rate. Our driver was excellent. He always anticipated when to stop for photos. Herds of camels, horses or sheep and goats made for great photos. I need to especially thank our guide. He was a constant source of information. All of which added to the adventure. He accompanied my grandson up and down everywhere. He pointed out animals, birds, insects, fossils, petrified wood. I wholeheartedly recommend Mongolia Quest. Can’t go wrong with this company.

We had an amazing trip with Baggy and Ayush from Mongolia Quest. We went down by road deep into the Gobi desert, saw the Sand Dunes, the Flaming Cliffs and stayed at a couple of very special Ger camps. Long stunning drives but fun and with great conversation. We travelled with our two kids, 9 and 8 years of age. Baggy and Ayush made it all so simple for us. Trip was so well organised and they showed us spectacular places. They took well care of us at all times. One of the best experiences ever. We loved the trip, Mongolia and its wonderful people and we are already looking forward to coming back some day. We definatelly recommend Mongolia Quest to other travellers.

I took a 10 day solo tour centered around the Naadam festival. The tour included tickets to Naadam's opening ceremony and trips to Hustain National Park, the Flaming Cliffs, and Hovsgol. For ten days we covered a good amount of ground and the logistics were handled seamlessly. The highlights was the chance to learn more about the culture and history of this fascinating place. My wonderful guide, Duuya suggested opportunities that were not in the official itinerary such as meeting reindeer herding families who happened to be in the area. She also helped bridge the gap speaking to families in gers we visited along the way. The drivers were all champions. Recommend!

We spent almost two amazing weeks traveling from Ulaanbaatar to the Snow Leopard Trust research center in the Tost Mountains of the South Gobi desert to experience what is involved in collaring and tracking snow leopards and their prey and seeing how the herders are helping to protect these endangered cats. We also visited the Hustai National Park, museums and Buddhist monasteries and enjoyed shopping and a terrific music show in the capital. Badral, our Mongolia Quest guide, was fabulous.

Having visited Mongolia for work more than 15 times, I can not stress enough how fantastic my experience was working with Mongolia Quest. I will definitely work with them in the future for all trips. We are a conservation organization working in extremely rugged and remote areas with little to no amenities. Mongolia Quest made it possible for us to bring important supporters to visit our projects and they arranged the perfect trip. We were able to focus on and highlight the research and conservation work we do while Mongolia Quest provided the perfect accommodations, food, and amenities that made it a fantastic trip. They set up beautiful yurts near our research site. They cooked and served amazing food in a warm, cozy, beautifully decorated dining yurt. They provided hot water for tea and coffee in each individual sleeping yurt morning, night and anytime in the day! Stoves were lit during our cold research season by kind, attentive, wonderful staff so that waking was warm and lit at night so that sleeping was cozy. The knowledge of history and culture was deep and rich and I learned a great deal. They set up easy to use bio toilets so that guests didn't have to walk far in the dark. They adapted to the groups needs, changing things to fit the needs of the group. Some of the most magical memories are stopping in the middle of the Gobi mountains and suddenly, as a surprise, Mongolia Quest drivers and staff set up tables and chairs and we had a picnic lunch in the most gorgeous areas of the world! I can't say enough about the entire team - drivers, cooks, managers, assistants - all were so lovely and helpful - but Badral, the owner and founder of Mongolia Quest is a gem. His love for and knowledge of Mongolia, the culture and history, and his values to help make a difference for the land and people were so inspiring. Thank you Mongolia Quest. We will meet again!
