Run down place but the cheapest in Vientiane.
If you need a more modern one go to Vientiane Center 3rd floor.
Drinks and food available.
Not crowded...
Open until 11pm I went there at 10:30pm cuz I couldnt sleep and there were people.. most of them play pool or snooker there too.
( and you could too).
Would go back if they renovate.

Feels like youre in Russia in the 70s. Cheap games, lanes that barely work and dingy lighting. You get what you pay for

Had so much fun here when we visited. The venue is old and run down but this almost adds to the experience. The score board would randomly give me strikes, even though I had 1 or 2 pins remaining. The balls were chipped and the lane was warped? But with all these faults we still had so much fun and many laughs were had. Best $2 I've ever spent. Please visit!

Had a great time bowling today :-)
The bowling balls are chipped as hell, our machine broke down on us three times, the scoring was all wrong ( worked in my favour though), it's run down but, it was a good laugh!
It only costs £1.10 I think for one game... we ended up playing two games!
If you want to kill an hour or so and have a bit of fun then this place is it!!

Sure, this place has been around a while and hasn't changed much recently. But it is a short walk from town and pretty relaxed. All of the equipment is dated. The pins are wonky and the balls are chipped. The black-and-white scoreboard tends to make errors in your favour.. You can wear any shoes you like - or go barefoot. So, just aim for those pins. No music videos and animations to distract you here. Just Beerlao. And the price is right.

First of all, in defence of the staff, when they warmed up, they were really nice. They took photos for us and we're smiley and chatty.
The place is great. There were bowling balls with huge chunks missing and you could hear them clunking down the alley.
The computer gives random scores and always seems to add one or two points at odd moments. I played in bare feet, and the others just wore what they wanted.
All washed down with a Beerlao.
A grand way to spend an hour or two...

Yes, the lanes are garbage and the house balls look like they have been in use for 40 years. But you don't come here to bowl a 300. You come here to enjoy the legendary BeerLao while having fun bowling with locals.

The price is reasonable, and the BeerLao with ice is excellent. If you have a few days in Vientiane, I would highly recommend coming here.

We found this bowling alley on trip advisor. It's close enough to the tourist area to walk to, but mostly used by locals. Games were $2 AUS per person. The lanes were incredibly wonky, not all of the pins stood up straight, and the computer made errors keeping score (in my favor, so I'm not complaining). Staff were helpful where they could be, but being a predominantly local joint, no English was spoken. It was a very fun, unforgettable game of bowls, and a brilliant unplanned event. Highly recommended for a laugh.

The lanes are uneven, the music selection is eclectic, there's communist paraphernalia everywhere, and the bowling system looks like it was installed during the Cold War.

Believe it or not, this all adds to the charm of the Lao Bowling centre.

It's only $2 AUD per game, the staff are very friendly, and you're guaranteed to see some of the most atrocious bowling there is. Check it out!
